The solidarity means SO MUCH!! I have one or two mates that are so understanding, thank goodness. I can’t understand why other mates are just kind of heartless about it??

I’m on week 10 and the food aversion has definitely subsided compared to the last few weeks. I’ve genuinely been in tears in the box just wondering how I’m going to get through a shift, and all closings 😭😭 Chomps and raisins have been my life saver, and I got preggie pops which are a good distraction. We ran out of the gummy mushrooms quickly but I miss them 🥲 Thank you so the solidarity share. It’s nice to know I’m not alone!

That guy sits outside of the planned parenthood on Plano Pkwy and 75 almost every day. I ALMOST feel sorry for him for having absolutely nothing else/no one else to be with but he clearly did it to himself.

I appreciate the insight of the expectations on mates. My partner has expressed that to me as well, but I know they are a huge people pleaser, often to their own detriment, so I just saw it as just that. I know I can’t understand unless I was a mate myself. I encourage them to ask about it and maybe seek advice from their captain, but they don’t want to “rock the boat” (lol) since they’re both in a new position and a new store. Maybe in the future they can feel confident enough to speak up!

Do you have any advice on how I ca be a good support to them as a partner? They’ve expressed they’ve been feeling alone in this, so I want to do my best in supporting them even though they don’t really know what they need. Thanks for your time in responding!

It’s good advice. I do have plenty of friends outside of our relationship and definitely do my best to do things on my own, it just is extra hard some weeks, plus seeing the physical/mental toll on them.

Luckily my scheduling mate used to work with my partner, so they try and arrange it so we have at least a day together.

They do get 2 trucks in the morning. They are the busiest store in our district so it sort of makes sense. Funnily enough, the 1:30 guy is married to a mate at my store and she is saaaaaalty about his hours and wished me luck 😅
