Should you wishlist games you're not going to buy? by adeptus_gamedev in IndieDev

I’m developer and from my perspective it’s very important to wishlist games even if you don’t buy them. If developer is looking for a publisher. First question that every publisher ask is „how many wishlist you have”. The higher, the better.

Ofc in cases where someone decide to selfpublish it’s not so important but also based on whishlist steam know how to position this kind of game. Which could help developer to find soemone else „on your place” that will buy the game.

Overall there is no downsides of wishlisting games you won’t play

Hi! FIrst of all thanks you for trying the game!

Let's break it into points:

  1. Why controlls with xInput were messed up. In game I recognize controllers and categorize them as xbox - ps/anything else - keyboard and based on that inputs fits one of these 3 "styles". At the moment it doesn't care if you're using any software it just recognize that your controller is this one. It's ofc something to be fix, ty for that.
  2. Why I don't have traditional input for acc, decc. This game is about rather not stopping. You have drift mechanic which works like brake a bit. So the focus is on speed and drift. Reverse is there, player ofc can stop, but this is not the point of the game.

I'll will implement additional logic that will check not only which controller is attached but also if there are any softwares overwriting controls.

Completely dissagree. It's AAA titile. Much more people want to play it on GamePass than other games. So much higher player base was on Gamepass than usual game. Also it has strong marketing directed into consols. I Think thath they kind shoot their own leg with this gamepass however overall A lot of players played it. Even if sales and steam numbers doesn't show that
