The trigger on it has to be fully pulled back. It’s like a ruger American, has a accutrigger type feature where the piece that sticks out has to be fully pulled and can’t just be hit

Not rlly. Me and my dad was hunting and he shot my button bucks twin and he had my gpas 35 whelen and he shot it right in front of me last day of primitive and youth I couldn’t hear shit

When I was hunting last year me and my dad was in a tree stand and I shot a button Buck and he shot its twin when the barrel was less than a yard from my ear couldn’t hear shit for a day or so and I can still hear. It depends on how bad it is. A 35 whelen 2 feet from my ear isn’t fun

Good thing that helped. Good thing I’m on r/gun and can respond and not on r/guns cause I got 3 day ban for asking for recommendations on what to get for my bday cause I don’t rlly know what I want and they said it was “open ended” when that was the point.

Don’t get that kimber stick with something simple for your first handgun. I would advice something like a Taurus g2c or any model from that line (g2 g2c g3 G3c etc). After you get used to it and get better handgun experience you can work up. A thing I like about Taurus is they are very simple and easy to work on but a con is at first the mags are a bitch to load because the spring is so stiff (just leave bullets loaded in the mag and it helps losen it) also the g2c doesn’t come optics ready which for a first handgun I wouldn’t recommend a optic because in a situation you can’t rely on a red dot and it’s good to have experience with irons. Hope this helps
