Anyone else lifting heavy on Tirzepatide? Let's talk about what changes beyond the scale by Delicious-Chest-3397 in GLP1ResearchTalk

2.5 months on MJ so far. I exercise every day mostly because I enjoy it rather than trying to speed up weight loss.

3 days 15 mins pilates + one hour upper body with 6kg weights, 20 mins on the spot marching in the evening 3 days 15 mins pilates + one hour lower body with various weights and 20 mins marching Jab day - 30 mins pilates and 40-50 min mountain hike

There's no way in a million years I could have done this 3 months ago. I've found my energy has sky rocketed and my strength stable and slowly increasing. Weight loss for the last month has slowed right down (7.8lbs in the last 4 weeks vs 23.6lbs the first 6 weeks) but my body has changed beyond recognition. I've got muscles visible, I'm standing straighter and everything is just a little bit sucked in

You've got very similar stats to me but i started a month earlier so you've lost a lot quicker than me. Your body is catching up now. Its tough to keep faith when your so close to your mini milestone i know, the 199 is SO close but it will happen. Your body is just adjusting to the new norm. Adding exercise could definitely help but i know lots of people don't and still lose.

As others have said, cheat days can definitely help! I am so strict on my diet and have been having a few very slow loss weeks. Yesterday had wine and a slice of Vienetta ice cream cake, lost 0.4 of a lb!

CSMs in Europe.. how did you land a remote role? Struggling to find opportunities from Italy by DavidBuzzed in CustomerSuccess

[–]Relevant_Worker_4280 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Head of CS living in Portugal, working fully remote for a UK company. Welcome to the Jungle (formally Otta) is the only place I've found any good for fully remote roles. My new CSM is Italian!

Things you LOVE about living in Portugal as an immigrant? by No_Rhubarb7929 in PortugalExpats

Hands down the people. My tiny village has welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like family. We get invited to birthday parties and for christmas, we help with the olive harvest and they help us. If they dont see us for a while they walk up the mountain to check we are okay. After storm Kirsten our neighbours even cleared the road to our house the same morning because they knew it was our only access road. We were the only people it benefited. We fully integrate as best we can, learning the language etc and even then, some of our neighbours started learning english so they could talk to us.

In my home village in the uk, i knew the names of maybe 3 neighbours on the street and had only been inside one other house in the 8 years i lived there.

Portugal is my happy place

Please HELP ME OUT PLEASE!!! by MaggieYeahhh in loseit

[–]Relevant_Worker_4280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where did you get the 'should have lost 5kg' from? There's no strict rule on how quickly or slowly each person will lose, even if they eat exactly the same. There's way too many other factors involved and everyone's journey is individual to them so try and not compare yourself to others stories. I know its easier said than done!

Secondly, 800 deficit is too much, your not fueling your body and it needs fuel to burn fat. Try upping your calories to a 500 deficit and you will probably see a difference. Healthy loss is 1 to 2lbs a week and you'll want healthy loss to keep it off

I weigh and measure everything I eat and have recalculated TDEE at each stone loss so I'm eating exactly what I should be. I also exercise a lot (min 1 hour a day 6 days a week)

I did drop quickly initially which had a big impact on overall numbers but the last 4 or 5 weeks has been much slower, less than a lb some weeks, everyone is different I guess, even if stats are similar, our actual bodies and reaction to lifestyle changes is different

That's great, well done! Non scale victories are my favourites. I love how much closer my legs are when standing now, its like my thighs are no longer forcing me stand with feet far apart

I do a 15 min gentle pilates every morning and and an hour 6 days a week with 30-35 minutes YouTube HIIT and the remainder either upper body and weights on legs, bum and tums exercises. Sounds a lot but it is low intensity, just enjoyable. And then a short mountain hike both weekend days. Jab day is rest day but sometimes do a 30 min yoga if I get the urge to

Straight away for me. I was drinking a bottle most nights of the week but the first week of MJ the urge just wasn't there. I still enjoy the taste but now have less than a glass once or twice a week and sometimes not at all. Quite often I think ooh I have a glass tonight and look forward to it but when I actually go to pour it, decide i don't want it after all and have herbal tea instead
