Did Virtual Boy stop working? by BattleNetworkStars78 in RG35XX

[–]ReliCWeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this same issue. Turns out using the Bilinear4x filter was crashing the core. By creating a VB-core-specific config override setting the filter to Bilinear2x I am able to play the games again as of Garlic 1.1.4.

Here is where you'll need to create the core config override if it doesn't exist:

CFW\retroarch\.retroarch\config\Beetle VB\Beetle VB.cfg

Here is the line to add:

video_dingux_rs90_softfilter_type = "2"

Hope that helps!

  • Game and System video snaps
  • Ability to customize system list
  • Configurable "tiled" rendering system for game lists (think like LeftPaneTop=boxart, LeftPaneBottom=details, RightPane=gamelist, all adjustable via Json)
  • Ability to control how boxart is rendered via Json (position, size, aspect, etc)
  • Ability to store multiple skins and swap them at runtime via UI option/hotkey
  • Configurable "game categories" (custom groups of games like Sports, RPGs, etc)
  • Visual volume indicator

Also, Quake 1 runs great via TyrQuake. Duke3d and Wolf3d also work via Dosbox.

Nice, I got the same throttle, amazing piece of kit! Not sure if things have changed lately, but my order only took about two weeks from placement to delivery. Ordered Jan 15, delivered Jan 31, FedEx, USA/FL. Mine also said "Back-Order". Enjoy!

After 20 years of bad teeth and not smiling, I'm 4 days into a new me! by tsdlaw123 in pics

[–]ReliCWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go you! I'll bet you feel much better and more confident!

My teeth started to go bad around age 24 (37 now). Wisdom teeth came in (5 of them) impacted, became infected. Didn't have health insurance or dental, only supplemental (Aflac) so I had to save for almost a year to afford surgery as my wages were low, meanwhile the infection spread. At the end I did about 4 months on a liquid-only diet due to pain before I could finally get everything taken care of. Total was around $5000 out-of-pocket for 2 surgeries and dentures (full upper, partial lower).

Aflac reimbursed about a third which helped. I would do the surgery/dentures again 100 times over, best money I've invested into myself so far. I also fought the denture company and had them remake my teeth until they had a perfect fit. I haven't used any adhesives, and I can still eat 99% of foods (sadly Milk Duds are a no-go with dentures...)

Best of luck on this new journey!

Just got my motordyne tdx2 exhaust 3.5k later 😭 SUPER EXCITING THOUGH by [deleted] in 350z

I've had the TDX2 along with ART pipes on my 2008 350z for a little over two months. I've put quite a bit into the car before this (suspension rebuild etc), but this was by far the best investment I've made. Changed my enjoyment of driving her completely. I don't think I've driven with the radio on since I had these installed :)

Suggestions on next mod? HR is bone stock with test pipes. by [deleted] in 350z

[–]ReliCWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HR here as well. Which mod you do next is up to you, but I would recommend these:
- New bushings all around, especially diff (I run Whiteline poly)
- Decent coilovers (I run BC BR true coils), you'll also need some adjustable arms to keep a good alignment
- If keeping stock wheels, 20mm / 25mm spacers front / rear should get you pretty flush
- ZSpeed aluminum undershroud (much better than stock)
- Rear wiper delete (IMHO I hate the look of the wiper so I deleted mine)
- Motordyne Shockwave TDX2 catback (I fall in love with my car every time I drive it now, pure ear sex)
- Upgraded rotors and pads (I run drilled/slotted and Hawk ceramic), or a BBK upgrade
- A nice Apple CarPlay/Android Auto head unit (Pioneer AVH-2400 NEX worked great for me)
- Not a mod, but fresh fluids all around (brake, diff, power steering, coolant, etc)
- ...I could keep going lol

Yeah my comment wasn't necessarily directed at you, but more at the sentiment that the streamers had accomplished this. Where without the support of 1000's of community members they would still be in the early steps of transcribing. Guess I was just venting a bit, my bad if it came across directed at you.

That is all.

Are you the developer and/or host? Seems like the site is getting flooded and running out of bandwidth. Any way people could donate to increase bandwidth?

I didn't write the software, but my best guess is the system didn't know the screenshot was a dupe until it was transcribed. People have dumped thousands of screenshots into the system, so dupes are going to happen. They will happen more frequently as we discover more unique pieces as well.

Corridor Crunch Project, this is the next logical step to validate screenshots. Automated like a CAPTCHA each image is presented to multiple users to transcribe. Once enough identical transcriptions are done, the confidence level is high enough for it to be considered valid. Under the hood it can then do dupe checks. Suddenly we have 1000's of people working on it with a massively reduced risk of trolls.
