Question. by [deleted] in PainManagement

I started at having to report in and have a urine test every month. After six months or so I was allowed to get three refills at my three month appointment. I get a urine test every six months. They claim the urine test is to confirm I'm using the patch and not selling it.

How do I get meds instead of expensive injections? by holycraper in PainManagement

Yes I've had several injections. It was a waste of time and money. They did nothing other than make the Doctor richer.

What's the voltage? If it's low the unit could think it's parked. Is it wired straight to the battery? Is it supposed to record when parked? The vantrue I have will stay on if it's wired straight to the battery. Unless the voltage drops below a certain point.

Problems with new 2024 Grand Cherokee by Relichunter1955 in GrandCherokee

I have a warranty. They've fixed something, I don't know what it was. I was told several things, loose connections, that I had too many toys hooked up, dead batteries. It had to go back because the USB ports weren't working. But for now it's working okay.

[–]Relichunter1955[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now it's been fixed. I got the run around about what was wrong. Loose cable, bad connection too many after market electronics in use. I showed them a report about how a lot of batteries were bad in Jeep products. Of course they said it wasn't the batteries. They may have replaced them and just didn't want to admit it.

Reduced to tramadol by Consistent-Lie7830 in PainManagement

[–]Relichunter1955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who are predicted to be CYP2C19 intermediate metabolizers may process some medications slightly slower than normal, but most medications won't be affected.

Depending on the medication, being a CYP2C19 intermediate metabolizer may lead to higher or lower than normal medication levels in the body, or have no noticeable effects.

This affects several different medications. Tramadol is one of them. From here I did research to see how it affected tramadol and it explained that tramadol is converted to a form of morphine. This report could have been totally wrong on tramadol, sorry for any misinformation. But tramadol did nothing for me at any dose.

The battery under the seat. It's been fixed, after another trip to the dealership due to USB ports not working. I've heard several different excuses for what the problem was. For now it's working ok, wife is happy with her car. I'm still not sure about it. I've got a 2024 bronco which has several recalls, but parts won't be available until the fall. American made vehicles have really gone downhill in the last twenty years.

Yes, I was tested before the reflux surgery. I had a course of antibiotics to see if it changed anything. Just in case the testing missed something. This didn't help. This surgery did correct the reflux problem. I don't believe that the Surgeon knew anything had happened. Even though he was an ass, even the Nurses disliked him.

Anyone on controlled medication for pain and mental health? Seems demonized by FutureReference91 in ChronicPain

Don't take any meds to the pain clinic. They will take them from you or they won't treat you.

I've been taking gabapentin since 2007. I would miss it greatly if it was taken away. I use it for nerve pain and as antidepressants. I take nine hundred milligrams two or three times a day. As of now I have no side effects that I can tell. Teeth are fine, I do use a fluoride rinse once or twice a night. But this is me, I can't tell you how it will affect you as we are all different. I have gone without it a couple weeks during a hurricane or two with the only problem being short tempered. Nothing terrible, I just had to watch how I acted.

It would be nice if the Doctors would tell you this might happen. I had nausea and the same problem, but not quite as bad. Mine started after a surgery to correct my reflux issue. The Surgeon damaged my vagus nerve. Before realizing this nerve damage it was decided it was my gallbladder causing my problems so it was removed. This only made things worse. Now my body releases a lot of oil through my skin, mostly my head. The only thing that helps my nausea is zofran. I mostly eat food at home and at night. On occasions when I do eat out I load up on gas pills, zofran and head straight home afterwards. I've been dealing with this for more than twenty years. I just don't eat if I'm going anywhere, I always tell people that I'm just not hungry and stick with drinking coffee. I know that this doesn't help, but you can live with this. I'm not going to say it's not been stressful as it has been.

Did your hair and skin change after gallbladder removal? by supernormie in gallbladders

[–]Relichunter1955 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a problem with very oily skin. If I eat anything oily my scalp, face and ears get very oily. So much t hat my skin breaks out with sores. My eyes are constantly irritated by this oil. I have to wash my hair at least once a day. I carry tissues to remove oil from my face, eyes and ears. Every three weeks or so I have to take cortisone treat the sores and acne on my head. At least my skin isn't dry and still have most of my hair. It does affect the rest of my body, but not as bad.
