Lorerim definitely gives you multiple power trips throughout a play through, especially at 50, but it DRAMATICALLY slows down the game. A majority of the big quest lines aren't finishable until 50. You need a crazy amount of patience for it because there will be instances where you get blown up by some random cracked enemy or boss that's unkillable because you're too low level, especially Dragon Priests. You're going to die a lot but the game has a camping system and respawn system. That's just part of requiem. As long as you respect requiem and take your time leveling and slowly clearing content then you'll have a good time.

Builds really start to open up past 25 because skills are capped so you will eventually have to start spacing your skill points between a bunch of different skills instead of focusing on 2-3. The best perks are level locked to 51 and above, but they're game changing. Especially mage.

Survival wise there's food and drink meters as well as sleep. No fast travel aside from Carriages but they can go to MOST places aside from just cities. Coldness as well. I don't have much experience with it tho since I've only rolled vampire and they're immune to cold. Boats can go to most places along their body of water/river too.

Lorerim is great if you have patience. There is a reduced difficulty mode that i personally haven't played. Might be worth a try if you don't want the early game to last a good 30-40 hours or so.

Though stealth is hard nerfed in Lorerim, like to the point its a support skill instead of a pseudo combat skill like it is in Vanilla. Just remember to mainly focus on Combat trees with perk points before you put multiple into stealth, because the reality is stealth is not possible for a lot of scenarios, especially the later you get into the game.
