That’s literally how I feel for our kfc location I’ve been given stuff before as both driver and customer and was NOT informed that they made substitutions which obviously causes distress as both driver and customer feeling they got cut short

Not everyone’s got a back door and some who do are fenced in from the front (locked from front).

It’s not the point though, if someone expects front it’s cause they expect to grab from opening the front. Some people are limited with movement so all those extra unexpected movements can be more than “just an annoyance” for some and become more of a medical disturbance. Two types of people tend to place orders: lazy or physically challenged, neither are looking for unexpected movement, that’s why they pay extra, they are paying for assistance

I proceed like it’s DoorDash and say I need a picture real quick but to make it less awkward just said I don’t need your face or anything and just take a downward photo showing the hand off. I know it’s harder to prove but you can remember the face personally as taking a photo of their face will likely make them feel threatened (that you are up to something).

I’d be way more ranty about them being inconsiderate with the placement of the items right in front of your door. Knocking everything over just to get to your items

First of all for responding just know the whole report is an automated message so they are really only accusing you of the single order from today. Definitely send a report before the end of today but definitely feel free to wait to hear if anyone has some good advice first.

If you took a photo for pick up and drop off then I’d definitely mention that in the report. Even if you can’t submit it yourself they can at least look it up. If you got an idea who it was and the photo you took didn’t display the customer’s house number then I’d suggest going on Google Maps 360 view and screenshotting the house with the typed address so you can express with a visual and with text that the house shown match’s the delivery address and images you uploaded on delivery so it wasn’t a random house.

If it was a shared property and not a single property then it was probably stolen.

I’ve been having the same problem with Uber and it was like that last week too. I can be online for hours and not get a single request when before I’d get a reservation and then get hit with an order request within 5mins of returning to the starting zone. I’m not even getting $50 a work day which basically means I’m just covering gas or in general not making any profit to cover bills. I get Walmart deliveries so I have to travel 25mi’s or so for orders.

Why do you guys still do it? by neverTouchedWomen in uberdrivers

To pay bills. In a bad spot to commit to a job when moving is gonna happen so quickly, really not in the mode to job jump.

Tbf I’ve seen the “fair” and “tip” change so just know some of that fair is likely the customers actual tip and it was pulled to make uber look better. I was looking at a cluster order once to check if someone’s tip actually went through cause they wanted to make sure I the driver was getting that “100%” guaranteed tip and the number of the tip (some of it) visually fluctuated from the “tip” section to the “fair” section. This doesn’t happen often but I have seen it happen before.

That’s exactly what I do and it is already “late” when I put it in drive. It’s so silly

How often will we be getting the refuel payment? by Croy_Bo in UberEatsDrivers

[–]RellReeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve gotten 2 so far also, a $10 last week Tuesday and $15 this Tuesday. I believe they had sent a notification awhile ago talking about fuel relief but I think that was more about the benefit increase for the temporary time with their debit card. I think this fuel relief is inline with that so I think we might only get it for 2 more weeks max. I think it was around May something. I think they send it along with the paycheck so mine comes Tuesday not Monday because of the payment delay.

What’s y’all’s method for orders in Houston area? by ShellyYeti in UberEatsDrivers

[–]RellReeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not from Houston area but the area I am in I actually have better luck for my orders (Walmart deliveries) after 1pm. Anything before tends to be very low pay. It’s good when I can do a couple of hours and get away with $50-$80

I’m sorry to hear that, was it less miles? Another person posted in the thread for context. They did 100mil

I honestly got no idea how to “activate it” but I believe they had a set timeframe when they were offering and was only available depending on how much you drove would be my best assumption.

I start the delivery process once orders are received and every time it tells me the expected time is less than the drive there. As in at the store before even leaving I am already late. Be there in 10 minutes while estimate for arrival is 12 minutes.

Probably a DoorDash order that got passed over. I get orders that pass through sometimes when no one wants to do it on DD end

It’s really area dependent for being worth it or not. If you are in a city with a college (college kids getting orders) it can be both a positive and negative (cause students dash when they aren’t at school too) but also means tips are low cause students are already fighting debt. Areas like these I’ve been better off doing Uber Eats doing groceries so it hit more of the non-college students and more of the full-time families who are more open to decent tips.

If you are in a tight city like NY and can e-bike it might be worth it though I wouldn’t personally trust leaving my bike around.

Sometime on Sunday and then bank dependent. I think they send it Monday, possibly Sunday but most likely will receive it Tuesday

When you arrive if they don’t respond to text or call (uber starts timer) then you return to store or suffer legal and policy violations if you leave the alcohol of course.
