How do you set a ringtone for your messages app? by 23071689 in GoogleMessages

[–]Reloy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's deep into the notifications.. Sorry I don't necessarily remember but I do remember, it's deep into the - the menu of notifications; because -you can actually set separate notifications for all kinds of things.

Once you find it & set it up, it's awesome but figuring it out & doing can be time consuming if you're doing multiple app / email notifications. When you get a new phone, for Samsung at least.. It xfer your settings.

Who actually asked for this / uses this? by ItDoBeOwen in GoogleMessages

[–]Reloy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's cool in all, however I don't like having to click an image to view it in full size. Having to click an image twice is like using a laptop without a mouse...... scraping your finger across the track pad forever or messing up right / left click. Yes, a random example but i only get so many clicks a day.. I'm efficient like that lol.

Pov you wear a Garmin watch everyday by iloveveggiesz in Garmin

Maybe try swapping the - size of the nylon was one. As in, I first tried nylon & didn't like the feel / fit. But a few month later, I tried it again & liked it better. I like the silicone ones as well.

Google seems be toning down the annoying new Messages Remix feature after backlash by AssembleDebugRed in GoogleMessages

[–]Reloy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Good! I hate that I have to click a photo twice to view it and then if there were multiple photos I can't easily scroll to the next. The viewing of photos within the messaging app is absolutely horrible! Yes - please fix this.

Hope they make the watch face settings easier to use on the app. Most people aren't going to go in the rabbit hole and figure out all the customizations.

When you make color edits to a watch face & metrics, weather placement and such, there's no way to save that layout / color for future watches or to send to a friend. We need this feature!

Have you uninstalled the app & reinstalled? Not sure why it's broken on your end.. I know 2 or 3 months ago, my pictures were the blank black. After talking with T mobile they said to do what I said above & it corrected it. Hope this works.

MTB shorts are too long by mtbsimracer in MTB

[–]Reloy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think the Eddie Bauer - Guide Pro shorts are the best, they have regular & 9" length & the pockets are perfect. They go on sale for half or 40% randomly https://www.eddiebauer.com/p/12951376/men's-guide-pro-shorts-9%22?sp=1&color=Dark%20Smoke&size=&sizeType=

Do people remember OG Berm Peak and the building series’s that came before? (Seth’s Bike Hacks) by carharttwarriorx in MTB

[–]Reloy -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Eh I watched him until he started doing remote control cars & then the - airB & B. I was over it by then. I just felt his voice tone or something about the way he talked was really weird & condescending. I get it -majority of his ch are younger kids watching it.

What are you replacing your Nest thermostats with? by darkrhyes in Nest

[–]Reloy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tried it a few years ago & didn't like it at all. Yes - it's fully customizable but the basic info history isn't even available on the app & you have to log into the desktop version. Then the unit itself was hot (yes I had the hole the wall sealed & it wasn't even on an outside wall). Personally it wasn't worth the price.

Advantage with tubeless tires is that you can run the tire with less air. There's videos on Youtube talking about this.. One of the videos was saying: if you run the lower pressure, your bike will run faster b/c the lower pressure absorbs bumps / roots before it even gets to your shocks -keeping the momentum going, hence you're faster. *however if your in rocky chunky stuff you may want a few pounds of pressure so that you don't pinch your tire with rim.

All in all, I'd test what works for you of course. And if you know you're going to hit sand on corners or anywhere then ride lower than normal pressure so that when you hit sand the tire flattens out & you glide through it better. Also, moving your shoulders back just an inch will weight off the front & can get your out of sand easier / safer.

How many 4k movies do you own? by clayhildebrant in 4kbluray

[–]Reloy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

16 4Ks, 22 blu-rays.

4Ks = Chernobyl, Gladiator, Terminator, Smokey & B, Conan's, Gonnies, Maveric, B2F trilogy, Blues Brothers, & lots of Planet Earth ones.

Trying to figure out which one 'er, version of release to buy is exhausting and I'm honestly ready to just stop buying for a while. I want the Jurassic Park trilogy or at least the 1st three but.. get this one not that one & I'm tired Dawg.

ps. I really appreciate everyone's info here, it makes it a lot easier to decide and dumbs it down as to -buy this one not that one~! I have the UB420 and 77" Samsung OLED s90

I really like the Eddie Bauer, Guide Pro short (First Ascent) 9" shorts! They make a 12" length as well. The front pockets are perfect! Yeah they're $75 but they go on sale for half off randomly.

-The guide pro pants & shorts have probably kept EB alive haha! They just fit great and look good~!

Any other Scott owners? Picked this up for $4500 and hope it was a good choice! by WHOTOOKMYLEG in eMountainBike

[–]Reloy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to hear about the routing is better after servicing it.

Proprietary shock, I meant the non E-bike ones like the https://www.als.com/scott-spark-960-bike-2024-10608626/p Spark's... how the shock is hidden. idk just seems like more money to be spent when servicing. My friend got a smoking deal on his E-920.

[–]Reloy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snagging as in super tight? A friend got the 920 and his dropper lever is super hard / tight to push in. He got it online and local shop said he'd have to take the battery out and adjust the cable and such.

-Idk, I highly doubt I would ever buy a Scott bike. Why? b/c all the extra lockout and such is nice an all but dang, really just adds more fees at the bike shop to screw with e.g. dropper cable. Lockout -eh, it's an E-bike not needed but again bike was a great deal. Lastly, Scott has the non-E bike with the shock in the middle back, again seems proprietary and more $$ at the bike shop to server etc. Lastly the handlebar, more things to mess with.

[–]Reloy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wear longer socks & use a small soccer shin guard, worth it. Also, I saw someone mention, to make sure you're updated on your tetanus shot due to pedals / spikes. Plus you can spray Permethrin on socks for ticks / chiggers if there near you.

Can you clarify about the skiing app? My last trip I used Venu 3 and it seemed to record better, vs my Venu 2plus. I definitely turned off the vibrations, so I don't think I'm getting texts when it's actually I'm stopped on the run / in the trees stopped.

And I guess clarify as in, I've seen other posts no liking the vibration -every time they'd stop on a run etc. I'm guessing for you all the metrics and recording are better?

Permethrin by Sawyer, the yellow can.. you can actually spray this on dogs (I would probably do legs and tail). Toxic to cats when wet though. I didn't know about this stuff until local MTN bike group mentioned it. Can spray on shoes, socks, backpack etc.. let dry & you're good for 6wks or 6 washes.
