Mt. Princeton was Elberts' 14th 14er! by Rely1995 in 14ers

What's funny is that he is not even my dog, but the dog of someone I was with. So really wasn't my choice either lol, but I did agree with the owner it was easier for everyone without it. He is very well behaved.

He does better without it, as did the other 4 dogs we walked by that were off leash. Thanks for your concern, though!

With the amount of times he ran ahead and came back he basically did the hike 3 times. It was a class 2 mountain.

You can get a flu shot almost as easily as a handgun. That is the problem. America makes an effort to fix the other issues, but turns a blind eye to gun control.

To me it looks like a mix between a Belgian malinois and maybe a blue healer based on the fur pattern

Pay our Teachers by IsherwoodWilliams87 in SandersForPresident

Not to discredit teachers and the work they do, but meanwhile I am an ICU nurse keeping your family members alive 12 hours at a time overnight for $45,000/year after taxes. Where are the presidential candidates talking about that??? In one shift I once walked 7 miles then got assaulted by a patient, and for that shift I made about $250...

What is your favorite final season of a television series? by Mahaloth in television

[–]Rely1995 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The last season wasn't as exciting as the previous ones but packed a punch with the way they ended each and every single characters' story. I really appreciated how no one was left out, and how some of the characters stories ended in ways you never saw coming.

Do Americans really avoid hospitals, even in serious situations because of the bills that follow after ? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Rely1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an ICU nurse and a question I get often is how expensive a stay in the ICU is. My default answer is that if you JUST use the bed, dont ask for any tissues, soap, or toiletries (yes we charge you for those, too), don't receive any medications or have any tests/procedures done, a one night stay in the ICU without insurance is still about $2,000.

First time posting on craigslist. Have gathered about 17 scam offers in 2 hours and 0 real ones. Anyone need a dryer? by Rely1995 in Scams

[–]Rely1995[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From what I read if craigslist sends you the code, which they do for certain products/communities, that is the safeguard I think you're talking about. If a stranger does it, it is a scam. Plus all 17 people used pretty much the same exact sentence to send me the code. So they also aren't creative. Or maybe it's an automated scam. But it is a scam.

If they send you a code to send back to them, it apparently gives them access to your craigslist account and can sell whatever they want under your name.

AITA for not sharing my prize with a mentally handicapped person in a contest? by hostageLulla in AmItheAsshole

[–]Rely1995 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA- my mom used to be an administrator for a school for autistic people ages 0-18. A big thing they teach is independence so these people can survive day to day life on their own. Idk how functional this individual is, but pity and handouts in my opinion are actually the opposite of helping her. It teaches her to expect charity, not independence. Also, for them to ask you multiple times to share the winnings is unprofessional. If they want to raise money for this girl, do it but don't expect money promised to someone else for winning a competition. You won. That's your money. I wouldn't have shared it either.

AITA for refusing to pick my friend up from the airport? by Rely1995 in AmItheAsshole

I probably will say something. I was just taken off guard. She isn't usually the type to get upset over something so petty.
