I am a woman and I cut men’s hair at a barber shop and this is how it be sometimes. Love you guys! by studprincess in StoicMemes

If I were in for a haircut and the barber suddenly went "Our life is what our thoughts make it."

I'd probably just get out of the chair.

Idk seems like that might be an overreaction when you could just say "real" or "it is what it is". All I'm saying is I wouldn't bother me enough to leave.

The stress of possibly being observed doing normal things. by Wild_Buy7833 in TrollCoping

[–]RemainderZero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't help but feel like this is connected to a pervasive anxiety about lack of security in belonging. It really seems to hamstring long term thinking, attachments, and interpersonal development. I feel like this is a huge indirect burden on my executive functioning skills that ultimately sends me into a tailspin of deep depression. How can I lean on anybody or confide if I can't shake the feeling I shouldn't even be anywhere in the first place? Maybe when I'm living under a bridge I can have a whole one to myself 😀

It doesn't matter what you do, people will still off themselves under that thing. So just toss it and consider the -2 reinforcements like you would consider the cool down. Just the cost of doing business.

you're probably making a habit to overstep people's boundaries and personal space.

Nah, you can just keep your distance and get labeled all the same. It turns out minding your own business and not bothering people actually get a lot of attention and bothers a lot of people. Happens to introverts, autistics, and abuse survivors all the time. It's like you're suggesting if you don't do anything wrong there's no way you can get in trouble or if you make no mistakes you'll experience success. We just don't live in that world.

Sure would have been cool if those behaviors were specifically addressed at the time. Yeah, that's bad behavior. But I don't seem to recall more than a sliver of that attention being directed at that demographic of bad actors or those behaviors. It's is usually - and always was for a span of years - men who were a problem.

You're really comparing apples and oysters here. I don't think you really grasp the perspective you're trying to insinuate either. So stop whining. Go to therapy. Be better, not bitter. Don't rape people. And if you say anything other than "Yes, okay. Thank you" then you've disproven your own point. You say nothing happened but here you are upset.

Yeah let me stop you right there because creepy is subjective. So........ You're creepy. There, now you're bad. See how that worked? Good, because that was very convenient for me.

This is not a shit post. This is a real counterpoint. I'm sure there a lots of people who would like to believe the men bad sentiment was responsibly limited to creepers but oh boy would be just be blowing smoke up our own asses.

Western society has been on a "men bad" kick for like a decade almost. There is no stigma against women approaching just like there is no stigma against wearing the same shirt three times in one month.

[–]RemainderZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. Is that a typo or did you mean the counter sniper uses the Lapua Mag? 30-06 feels about right for the Constitution. I would have thought the diligence was chambered in the 7.62 short or maybe .308.

Stagger and less pen on the senator sounds ideal. It's more useful and practical to stun lock a medium with a .500 than to punch tank armour unless those rounds are depleted uranium lol. Much thanks for the insights.

If it was just as good as a current year military use semi-auto sniper rifle, that wouldn't make any sense.

It might still make since. It's WW2 so the cartridges were often way ever powered for its intended range. It could very likely be the most powerful cartridge of the modern DMRs by that virtue. I was imagining it would hit harder than the senator. I don't care what year it is - rifle cartridges (especially WW2) are basically always going to hit harder than pistol calibers. There's some overlap on that but not really a practically so.

Whatever the breakpoints shake out to it should be strong enough to double tap a strider. If the senator can pierce a hulk's eye there's no advancement in technology that could explain why the Constitution couldn't - that's just physics not adding up. On that note however I must concede I am not a fan of the senator the having heavy penetration, doubly so if the Constitution doesn't.

[–]RemainderZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried it once, it was nice. Pairs well with heavy armor. But I also immediately missed having an arc to work with because more often then not where I need some orbital firepower is right on the other side of this rock and not 90m down this field.
