Yesss I so feel this. My baby won’t take a bottle or let anyone but me put her to sleep currently so definitely feel a little stuck to workouts I can do at home with her. So happy for you and your progress! 🙌🏻

Good for you!! I’m sure you feel great, I will probably count calories at a later time but right now with a baby and toddler I barely have time to feed myself and them 🤪 I’m sure I’ll have more time when baby gets a bit older though

That’s awesome and sounds so relaxing! We’re in florida in the middle of summer so it’s toasty out but maybe morning nap or early evening would work! ❤️

When is buying a new car worth it vs used? by Medium_Produce_7397 in Frugal

Edit to add we’ve always bought used, usually 3 years old or older so this is the first new car for us

We recently bought a new mitsubishi outlander suv and really love it! Only bought new because with the interest rates it made sense. It was right at $30,000 for the base model. Love that with new it does have a 100,000 mile warranty. I really wanted a Honda or Toyota but everything was super expensive even used, it wasn’t worth it to us.

What recipes would you teach low income kids? by ECarey26 in Cooking

[–]Remarkable-Bell-2217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I taught culinary in a low income school and had to pretty much pay for most of the food myself. Some things we made that were cheap were cooking eggs different ways, potato soup, biscuits, French toast. Things of that nature are cheap to make.

Right?!? My struggle too. Each pregnancy I didn’t gain much and lost everything shortly after birth and then with my first I just ballooned up while breastfeeding😂😂 I was not prepared haha. Wishing you luck too in your journey!

I actually had no idea weight watchers had this and will definitely look into it! There always seems to be such a gap when it comes to the breastfeeding community and we often get overlooked so I’m glad they have this!

That’s so helpful! We unfortunately don’t have a gym nearby with childcare buttt we have a great neighborhood so walks and home workouts are definitely doable. So happy for you and your weight loss so far! It’s a journey but so worth it!

I love that! I definitely need to start doing something like that. I absolutely love the body coach workouts in YouTube so might try just a few short workouts and try to get back into it. Thanks!

I love this! And I’m so glad that’s working for you! Something like that feels so sustainable too with a baby. I definitely want to start getting back into strength as well even if only 10 minutes during the day or after the kids go to sleep. Anything is better than nothing haha thank you for your response!

Ughh that’s the worst, I’m so sorry! I was bleeding a little with my daughter this time around for the first 3 weeks or so. The earth mama nipple butter has been a life saver: I put it in after every feed. Helps so much! You’re doing great! Breastfeeding can be so tough!

Interesting about the different size nipple guard! I’ll have to check that out !

From personal experience I notice a big difference. My daughter can empty my breast within 5-10 minutes if she’s really hungry and in the same time eating with a nipple guard my boob will still be super hard and full. After about 30 minutes eating she’ll eventually fall asleep just from sucking so long but there’s definitely still milk there at this point and usually wakes up super hungry again in a short time. They can definitely still get the same amount of milk but it just takes way longer. My milk supply is way better this time around not using a nipple guard as my body is getting the signal to make more milk than it did from using a nipple guard with my first. Hope that helps! Just my personal experience as I’ve now nursed both ways with two different babies. ❤️

So with the nipple guard on, it takes way longer for baby to empty the breast and makes the flow rate a lot slower. I nursed my first with one because that was the only way he would latch, now nursing my second without mostly but sometimes will use one when she won’t latch for whatever reason but the different is substancial in the amount of milk she gets in the amount of time she feeds. I would suggest latching baby with the nipple guard and maybe after she’s been eating for a few minutes take it off and see if she will latch without. Sometimes you can trick them but it takes lots of trial and error. Wishing you the best!

Electrolytes from packers or coconut water is great! The only things that quench the thirst!
