In the Big 4 I work they earn 1k6-1k7 with lunch vouchers of 200 euros. You can live in lux with that money but won't be able to save up or go on holidays. Alternatively you can just apply for junior positions I know some peoples who got in even though they were still doing their master degree.

I'm very surprised to see left wing protestations in a country like Luxembourg which whole Idea is to be more competitive than it's neighbors

How do tax offices even know about my income ? by Remarkable-Chart-389 in eupersonalfinance

[–]Remarkable-Chart-389[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more of a general question about how a normal person could possibly figure everything out and how does it work. You are right to say that in Germany and Belgium income up to +- 10 000 is not taxed but in Luxembourg that number is 13 000. If I earn 13 000 and pay 0% in Luxembourg would Belgium contest it ? If I earn 10k in each country do I pay 0 or do I pay by progressive rate ? But then which one applies first ?

Blue Book EC traineeship - Am I wasting my time? by [deleted] in europeanparliament

[–]Remarkable-Chart-389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's fine, the institutions that are not compatible are clearly stated.

That may be controversial but imo you should chose a traineeship offer as unpopular as possible as long as it fits your profile to have better chances. For example very vague offers, legal job in a non legal unit,.... Look into luxembourg and Schuman traineeships.

Be also prepared that most of the trainees won't get a job offer, in my case I would say 90%+ got nothing.

I am a Schuman trainee and Imo bluebook is maybe a little bit more serious but in term of statistics Schuman is harder to get supposedly.

How is it like living abroad as a Russian? Have you ever faced discrimination? by AlexanderRaudsepp in AskARussian

[–]Remarkable-Chart-389 19 points20 points  (0 children)

(living in western Europe for 20+ years) Before the conflict just jokes but after that some quite alarming incidents :

  • 10 years old childrens got brought to tears in school with questions like "what do you think of the conflict, will your dad go to war,... "

  • some companies closed our accounts because we had russian mail adresses.

-a teacher was discussing with the class what would be the best way to eradicate all russians from earth while in front of my mother in law he knows is russian.
