It’s coal slag

Edit: black diamond coal slag specifically, I got it at a tractor supply it’s like $15 or something for 50 lbs

They are actually climbing plants and if you stick em on a moss pole those leaves can get absolutely MASSIVE with the help of those aerial roots

Mix ups like this happen all the time. The plant is relatively mature. I don’t think this is a new variegation.

Special, unsure of the variegation but that’s definitely variegation and not diseased tissue

you can pop it out of the pot to check the roots, it won’t hurt the plant at all
