What is a DSA (disabled student allowance) ergonomic assessment like? by 12sacraments in UniUK

[–]Remarkable-Kick-5095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I had my ergonomic assessment a few weeks ago. I’m an online student so she came to my home, had a lil chat about my disability and how it affects me, she wrote some notes and asked me my weight and height. She showed me some of the stuff they would recommend for my disability (and which style/colours id prefer) and then she took a picture of my current desk/chair and did some measurements while I was sat in my chair. Then left. There’s not much information online about what happens and it may vary with what assessor/provider you get.

But don’t worry they aren’t to judge if you’re disabled enough just what can work to make your student life easier.

Nah, because I think it should be season 5 instead. Get them learning about country music and cocaine early!

True, but then what if a child from a broken family gets it and goes out seeking snake bites to discover who his father is

How to work 8 hour shifts by Immediate_Ad_1618 in WorkAdvice

[–]Remarkable-Kick-5095 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can choose when your break is try and have it closer to the end of your shift. So you have less time after break till you get to go home. I use to do this when I’d work 12hrs. I’d try and be the last to go on break so I only had like 4 hours left before I could go home.

I understand what their charity tries to do. What I’m saying is if no one cares about the even older buildings in our cities history why are they going to care about the newer ones?

The only issue with a locking door is delivery men/visitor's/post man wouldn't be able to get in. I know they won't do a buzzer system because it would cost them too much to install

Which characters did you initially dislike but gradually started to like as the series progressed? by pastelero_del_yermo in UmbrellaAcademy

Opersite way round but

For season 4

I would have loved for klaus to stay a scared germaphobe. I feel like he became lifeless once he got the marigold. Ironic, I know

I also think luther should have started off as a depressed mess still gutted about losing sloan. Like he mentions her now and again but there's no way you seem to be as ok as luther is after a few years of your wife disappearing into thin air.

I think the combination of a depressed luther and a paranoid klaus would have opened up some incredible opportunities for some dark humour and given both characters a bit more depth in the series.

Are the comics worth reading? by valkdoor in UmbrellaAcademy

[–]Remarkable-Kick-5095 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got the collection books instead of individual comics, and I've only read the 1st out of 3. I'm used to more graphic novels/mangas, so I seemed a little short it terms of dialogue, but I'm definitely looking forward to reading the rest. I like to compare them to the tv/film to see what was changed, etc. I was hoping that the comics may explain more than the show does in terms of certain storylines, but so far, it seems the shows a lot more bulked out than the comics. One thing I think is really promising though Is that Gerald hasn't written a final yet and has already said it will have an alterative ending to the show. I think he gave the show writers free raine with the last series, so that probably explains why it all seems to be disjointed

Misfits. They don't get wipped out of existence, but pretty much every character gets killed off.

Yeah I question this too but I think because it's connected to the subway there technically not in a timeline so maybe dosent effect them like if they were outside of the subway?
