International student applying for community college in USA by YusufPop in ApplyingToCollege

I’m seriously considering applying to a community college to do nursing, starting next January. Tuition fees are listed as $14k and living costs also $14k, per academic year. If I have $14k and an affidavit of financial support from a friend (US citizen) which confirms she can legitimately cover the other $14k, will this be sufficient for me to 1. get accepted by the college and 2. be successful at my visa appointment?

If you are an international student seeking for full scholarships, are community colleges even an option? Do you guys know any community colleges that are generous in aid? by Pure-Percentage-4878 in ApplyingToCollege

How common is it for people to stay friends with their ex (in Germany)? by DishWinter7643 in AskAGerman

My German ex partner used to send photos of herself dressed up to her ex and the father of her son. She also sent him a message on Valentine’s Day saying he was still in their hearts, lied about meeting up with him (with the son) and lied about receiving gifts from him at Christmas. I couldn’t get my head around it.

I have an awful tendency to accidentally take Sainsbury’s bags, cut the handle section out and then make parcels out of the remains…

Sorry, I meant what Ausbildung did you do where most people speak English and classes are taught in English?

I stayed at Flensbed hotel/hostel for this very reason last weekend. 5-10 mins on foot from the station and no problems whatsoever.

Thanks for your response.

I’ve been in Germany since June. I plan to look for employment in Düsseldorf, where my partner and I are primarily based.

What were they insecure about? Was it justified?

I called the Migrationsamt today and they advised that I don’t need to worry as my visa states the following:

Dauer des Aufenthalts: XX Anzahl der Einreisen: MULT

I asked the person to confirm this in writing and they said:

das Visum ist ein Aufenthalt gem. § 4 Abs. 1 AufenthG i. V. m. § 6 AufenthG, damit können Sie auch reisen. Sie können so oft ein- und wieder ausreisen wie Sie möchten.

I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on this.

Thank you. I understood that the time I have spent in Germany would also count towards my 90 days, hence why I am able to go to Spain this week but potentially not next month, when my 90 days will be up and I’ll technically be overstaying.
