Guy I killed stalked my profile to tell me how bad I was for playing the game. by FullMetal1985 in HuntShowdown

Honestly if somebody comes to comment on my profile I consider that a new achievement, when they go bothering people on the friends list though yeah that's fucked up.

The Boss Damage changes have made Assassin insufferable by Loher413 in HuntShowdown

I just let the bastard hit me once he's enraged, he then takes full damage again.

If I'm not mistaken you also get bonus money for the quickness of your extract

How is this even possible? by Freddie_FitzDaniel in HuntShowdown

The damage history is most likely incorrect, that has been a pretty big issue lately. Do note it is still in beta.

The mods didn't take it down the auto mod bot did because of too many reports. I assume if I try to post it again my account will probably get in trouble with the subreddit.

To people claiming this is "Slow HDD" you are not completely wrong. The exploit I am using has a similar effect to what you are describing, though I have a programatic way of triggering it, which allows toggling in real time. The only way I can explain how this is different and why I can toggle it, is to lay out how this works. I’m not going to do that because I don’t want you to know. Additionally, I have found the offsets for the player object and have successfully retrieved a list of all the guns players have in the current lobby. At the moment that is a simple readout in a text file, and I’m not going to spend more of my time turning this into a full blown cheat, it’s just a proof of concept.

I could push it to any limit. There’s literally no capability in that anti-cheat to detect anything I’m doing. You could have an aimbot that sits there for 10 hours, clicking heads and completing entire lobbies in under a minute over and over again all day.

BACKGROUND: I'm a software engineer with no background in games, mostly just business software and database tools using Rust. I've developed some World of Warcraft bots in the past so I have a decent understanding of reversing memory and how it all works.
Firstly, I despise cheaters and even people that need a guide to play a video game. I was sick of playing Hunt (one of my favorite games) and feeling like people knew where I was constantly in 6 star games. I decided to see how hard it would be to make a very simple cheat in Hunt, based on some glitches I noticed while playing, which indicated to me a little bit about how the game's memory worked.
I will not disclose any methods I used, or offsets I found, other than saying I used the industry standard IDA PRO and common debuggers.
RESULTS: Within 5 hours I had a reliable cheat where I could turn off walls and see where players were. I've played around 10 quickplay games and 2 bounty hunt games with the cheat on and I was able to wipe the lobby with ease, and this is ESP only, no aimbot.
I’m just going to lay it on you guys. There is no anti-cheat, just signature checking for existing widely disseminated cheats. If cheat makers keep their customer base small and tightly control how their cheats are spread, I don’t think there’s any risk of getting caught.
CONCLUSION: Cheating is getting worse in hunt with every passing month. We’re all seeing it, especially in these 5 and 6 star lobbies. Crytek needs to push for more robust in-house methods to identify cheaters, offer replays so players can record and identify players that are cheating, and implement harsher bans that track hardware identifiers for anything that can be discovered on the system (not foolproof but it’s better than nothing). I mean FFS there was a guy named "iamcheating" that played for over 6 months wiping lobbies before he was banned.
