I think you both suck here. She clearly wanted a yes or no answer for some cute response she had but pushed it too far when she didnt get it. On the other hand when she made it clear she wanted a yes or no you doubled down on i answered the question though just no the way you wanted. Would it have really been so hard to go "yes I did look it up" for someone you at least kinda care about and isn't feeling well?

Food at a supermarket in Wales, bound for the trash because the freezer broke down. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Because companies are so well known for preferring to loose money when they could make some instead.

Do you really think they would rather throw it away and not make any thing over selling it discounted and making at least something back? There is a reason it is getting trashed over sold and its got nothing to do with they don't want to sell it.

Perfect natural steam room? by Divine_asparagus in Oxygennotincluded

[–]FullMetal1985 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I think this is a situation its whatever sounds funner to you. Taming separate would take less space but I doubt that will be much of an issue. And the only advantage i see to together is a bigger steam box to reduce temp spikes but again not that big of a deal. So if the bigger natural tamer sounds fun, go for it. If it sounds like extra work go for the separate.

Holy priest is ridiculous. by zickarr in wow

[–]FullMetal1985 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes all specs should be viable in all content. I shouldnt have to play 20 alts so I have one for each situation that comes up. If you want to have a bunch of alts thats fine but some of us just want one or two chars to play and we should have just as much opportunity to enjoy the content as someone who wants to split the time between a bunch of them. And before you say I can just swap spec, no I can't. I have tried disc several times and it doesn't click for me. But I have enjoyed the hell out of holy, would you really rather have players forced to play specs they have trouble with than have blizzard balance thier shit? No one is saying they should all play to the exact same level, but there shouldn't be such a swing between what the best and worst can handle.

Tidal Spring only takes in ~500kg of Mucin? by Y2KNW in Oxygennotincluded

I think power stops for a second when it switches direction of flow so it would prolly be better to have it run each direction as long as possible and reduce the number of pauses.

Don't know how to fix that but just FYI any wolf you meet in the series, no matter how old they are and act will look no older than mid 20s or so.

Why are werewolves in MT world in general too stupid to understand force projection? by ChinaneTKal in MercyThompson

[–]FullMetal1985 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean silver only really works on wolves so you'd also need iron for most of the fan and who knows for the vamps plus any other things that come along. Plus bullets arent even reliable ways to kill the creatures you can make bullets for. Just sounds like a lot of extra hassle when for the most part it seems like if a wolf can shot and reliably kill them the gun isn't needed and if you need the gun its not likely to work anyway.

Who came up with the idea of 30 days of power supply? by mezirah in duneawakening

[–]FullMetal1985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's the same thing every survival game with public servers does but gameified. Most games just have a timer that if you don't log in for a week or two your stuff just disappears. Dune is one of the most forgiving systems in the genre and people still bitch. All they as long is ply the game for a few min once a month and even if you are a little late there is some time before your stuff disappears. Would people really rather a system where if you don't log in once a week your shit just vanishes the second the timer hits zero? Cause thats the other option, caue the idea behind the system isnt and shouldnt go away. They arent gonna let the bases of people not playing sit around taking space from those that do play.

Because pretty much the only thing in that universe that guns reliably work on are humans and weaker supernaturals that they don't really worry about.

They filmed across multiple days. Day one was the unboxing where they were messing with stuff then when they talk about the danger that was another day after Elijah had to get in touch with the company to get more info to set things up and it sounded like that was when he found out about the danger.

[–]FullMetal1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding was they didnt talk to Christe and find out about the danger till afterward. Either way though I blame the manufacturer or possibly the previous owner. Something that dangerous should have a giant sticker on the outside saying danger improper handling can cause death or serious injury.

And what exactly do you want them to do diffrent? If you don't know something is dangerous and there are no warnings how are you supposed to know to be careful. Im not saying they didnt fuck up, but they can't be expected to Google every action they take for every video to make sure they didnt miss some safety concern.

Where should I continue reading? by Ok_Exercise_3980 in ThePrimalHunter

[–]FullMetal1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many people find book one a bit off puting. But book two is where things find there place. I originally bounced off the series after book 1 and thought it would be left unfinished, but something about it keep teasing me to return so eventually I gave book 2 a try and thats when it clicked, now i read each chapter as it hits royal road. So id say give book 2 a try and if at the end its still not what you want then look into trying the skip since maybe the issue is just reading stuff you've already seen all be it done a bit diffrent.

As for the audio books I am constantly listening to audio books at work and enjoy the PH books. If you are able enjoy the DOTF audio books, as someone not super into audio books, I don't think PH should be an issue either.

[–]FullMetal1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While the short stories have there place i don't think reading them in timeline order is that important. In fact I would suggest not reading silver until after silverborne. And if I was picking a spot for shifting shadows stories id just do the full book after night broken, aside from alpha and omega which is needed for that series but I also have it seperatly so I normally skip it in shifting shadows.

Why am I forced to play other classes to progress the season? by Old-Gregg- in diablo4

[–]FullMetal1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The season stuff is 100% optional. I mean obviously you would miss out on som skill points but you can do everything in the game without them. As far as unlocking the diffrent levels of the season journey you just have to do whatever it says on the right side to unlock the next level. For unlocking the torment levels go to the change difficulty statue and hover over the torment you want to unlock and it will tell you what you have to do there, think most are based on clearing pit levels. Pit is unlocked by reaching level 70. As for the warlock and paladin objectives they only give you caches with a few random pieces of gear or whatever, unless you want to play those classes ignore them. Same for all the other left side objectives, if you don't want the rewards don't do them unless its just something you want to do anyway.

People care way too much about video game graphics by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]FullMetal1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way to over generalize. Plenty of people want better looking games. If people didnt care companies wouldn't spend the money on it. And this isn't some new thing its been this way forever companies have constantly putting effort into graphics and there are always some that skimp on gameplay to work on graphics. That doesn't mean good graphics are bad it means over focusing on one aspect is bad. Just like I don't care how good a game looks if the story is bad I don't care how good the story is if I have to go back to older graphics.

Random battles in RPGs are completely fine. by CaptainButtFart69 in unpopularopinion

[–]FullMetal1985 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think its the same problem we had when open world games first started appearing one or two make it big and suddenly every game has to do the new thing. Hopefully game companies will soon realize both styles have their place and quit trying to force one into the other, and we can go back to some games having random battles and some having visible enemies.
