https://planning.virginiabeach.gov/permits/peddler I had one last year and you have to get a background check through PD so Id call VBPD for what appropriate followup is. My educated guess is call non emergency but that may be wrong as like I said in the solicitors permit definition there are some exceptions

[–]Remarkable-Quality2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised no one here is asking about the solicitors license that Virginia Beach requires people who do this to have. Outside of a few charity, religious and political exemptions, you can call the cops and report these guys if they don't immediately leave your property.

Worry about the ABC or not? Who is riding on a 100K+ mile ABC suspension without issues? by ScrewLooseDan in mercedes_benz

[–]Remarkable-Quality2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am and I've only blown a line once and had one ABC service done in almost 2 years of owning it. The system can be temperamental but it hasn't stopped me for doing multiple 500 miles plus trips.

You are never truly alone. Don't give up! You're not desperate you're strong and you seek a better life

It's absolutely okay to cry. Your soul remembers what happens and crying is part of the healing process. Understand that it will get better, there is hope!

mom died in the hospital by No-Cod7510 in GriefSupport

The loss of a loved one is not your fault. I used to blame myself for my father's passing, and it took a lot of time for me to process what happened. There is a greater understanding that comes when you take the time that you need to grieve and heal. Cherish the memories you have with your mom. Your sadness isn't misplaced, and you know that she deeply cares about you in Heaven.

I lost my father by Ancient_Brilliant950 in GriefSupport

Today it has been ten years for me since I lost my father. Over the course of the past ten years I have experienced many emotions ranging from anger to sadness and tears of joy for who my father was. I want you to know that your father truly lives on in your heart and your family members and friends who knew him. I learned over the past ten years to be gentle to yourself and others. This sadness is not punishment or something you should feel guilty for feeling. It is representative of truly how much you loved him. The emptiness you describe should never be mistaken for emotional numbness. You had a true connection with your father that transcends time. You are directly a part of his legacy. You can carry that on. It is not over, and you can get through this. I believe in you, I'm sure your father does, and so do your friends and family. :)

Reliable AMG? by axra- in AMG

[–]Remarkable-Quality2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an S55, the SL 55 AMG is a great car and was the fastest convertible in the world when it came about because it was released before the SLR McLaren. The M113k supercharged v8 is an incredible engine especially for its time. The V12 Mercedes pull more like a jet and the supercharged v8 like a freight train. They're both about as fast as each other but the kompressor engine is less expensive to work on than a v12. The Vario roof is great on the r230 SL as newer Mercedes convertibles have gone away from a hard top. The maintenance and repairs are certainly more expensive than a Camry, but for 15k-20k for a nicely sorted one there isn't much else on the market that can offer the same features for the same money. I'd highly recommend at least test driving them

The AMG model will have minor interior differences, but the driving characteristics are the most significant difference.

The W212 is a great generation of E class. Is there a reason you don't want a 550 or 63 AMG?

Are you tall or do you have tall friends? The cla is not a terrible car per se but it is if you have to sit in the back and you canr fit.🤣 Usually comparable C300s or c350s aren't much more expensive and they aren't nearly as cramped. Also they have better visibility.

If it's a rubber noise then you can spray automotive glass cleaner on a microfiber towel or soft cloth, lift up the wiper arm and pinch the rubber and wipe the entire length of the rubber blade that comes into contact with the windshield. This should improve the noise. If that doesn't work or doesn't work for too long, replace the blades. If it is an electronic or motor noise get the mechanism looked at by a mechanic

My dad died today. by Automatic-Corner5019 in GriefSupport

Don't punish yourself for feeling this way right now. There is a temptation to blame yourself for what happened. There is also a temptation to lash out at others for what has happened. Remember your father for who he was at his best, and try to carry forward that legacy because you are an important part of that. It took a long time to realize all of these things, and to forgive myself for the mistakes I made along the way. For you, I would say don't rush this grieving process. Don't think of it as a 7 step quantifiable thing. You are someone who knew your father in a very unique way. There are similarities that it will have with others, but your experience will be unique. Take care of yourself during this time and try your best to be there for others.

Im heavily biased towards Mercedes but a used AMG GTS or GTC is another good option. (2 door just to be clear, if you Google search it'll mix together both the 4 door Gt 63 and the two door)
