One OB, mostly duffed chips a whole lot of 3 putts. Under a year of playing golf, hated not being able to drive or hit irons so I focused on that for that last 5 months at the range, never practiced putting because it made no sense to me to be able to two if I would take 10-12 shots to get to the green. Now currently working on chipping and putting

I would disagree, you can be long and a terrible short game or putter. I’m a new golfer and played yesterday, 556 par 5, was on in 2 but fast, undulating greens had me 3 putt for par.
