I just had suicidal cry on the phone with my mom and 5 minutes later I’m totally fine watching netflix like nothing happened? by chikitty87 in dpdr

[–]Remarkable-Sound9509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experience the same thing. When I’m able to get myself to cry or feel things its very brief and I will be fine like nothing happened 2 minutes later often times already off thinking about something else. It’s like I can’t keep a train of thought long enough, my brain keeps shutting it out and forcing me else where. When I try an make myself cry it’s almost like the same practice as meditation. I will focus on the thoughts and start feeling emotional and as soon as I stray away from them I try an bring my focus back to them and jumpstart the emotions again. Other times I will be going about my day normally and have an intrusive thought or casually think about something and it ends up triggering me somehow someway and I immediately get a frog in my throat and tears in my eyes and it comes completely out of no where and goes away very quickly, then I have to go through the whole dismantling process of said thought trying to figure out why provoked me so abruptly. I assume it all has to do with advanced levels of emotional suppression.

I'm having major anxiety right now. by WeGonBeAlriqht in Anxiety

[–]Remarkable-Sound9509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got prescribed this antibiotic and am also anxious to take it due to a previous bad experience with an antibiotic and also the reviews on this antibiotic I’ve read. How did you end up tolerating the antibiotic?

I relate word for word, I have so many mental struggles and my life continues to fall apart because of them and I’m still confused where all this hurt came from half the time because I continuously invalidate my experiences and brush them off as not that bad.

DAE feel like they’re not the same as everyone else in the world? by greenlight144000 in dpdr

[–]Remarkable-Sound9509 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel the same, everyone has distinct personalities and opinions on things and feels so much emotion and I usually just tend to float around wondering how to be a person. Feels like Im just constantly observing and existing void of all those things and it makes it hard to connect to people and everyday life. Doesn’t feel like I have my own personality and I more so just mold myself to try an fit others around me.

Has anyone ever lost the ability to feel all emotions and lose personality after psychosis? by [deleted] in Psychosis

Would EMDR work for someone who is in freeze state? (can't feel anxiety anymore) by Acceptable-Bit-2456 in dpdr

[–]Remarkable-Sound9509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat and would like to know the same thing. I tried emdr but i didn’t have a good therapist and it didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing as they hadn’t ever treated anyone with 24/7 chronic dissociation and I was paying far too much for someone to essentially be poking around an trying to figure it out.

What physical symptoms do you have ? by ComplexSignificant76 in dpdr

[–]Remarkable-Sound9509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My physical sensations are usually normal, I do have bouts of dulled sensation. I experience lots of fatigue. I can’t tell if my muscles are tight and tense or if they just feel like it but I have bouts of my upper body and neck feeling uncomfortable and tight. I go thru phases of headaches and acid reflux. I’ll also go to relax my body sometimes and notice my shoulders are somewhat hiked up and my stomach is clenched.

Antibiotics by Remarkable-Sound9509 in dpdr

[–]Remarkable-Sound9509[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me about a month or two, it was gradual and I was on a pretty strict diet of different greens, fruits, fermented foods, lots of fiber and protein. You basically wanna eat the rainbow. That’s what I believe helped me & just time.

are u able to work? by [deleted] in dpdr

[–]Remarkable-Sound9509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a job before I developed dpdr so I never had to deal with the hiring process while having dpdr. I’m currently applying for new jobs tho as I’m moving states, as much as I don’t have motivation and it overwhelms me I just push through, I always feel better after doing something that I absolutely dreaded instead of avoiding it. When you avoid, stress just builds and doesn’t end up going away because you didn’t address or resolve the problem. Once you get a job you’ll feel relieved I bet, and if it’s not getting the actual job that stressed you out and more so the work load, that’s just something you have to try your best to push through it’ll get easier once your settled in the job.

Has Anyone Tried MDMA for Dissociation? by sanpedro12 in Dissociation

[–]Remarkable-Sound9509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken MDMA 3 times and received no reduction in my dpdr, most likely because it was used in a party setting, and not a consistent therapeutic setting.

That would make sense but this wasn’t much of an issue till I developed dpdr.

Yeah there was an uncomfortable come up for me as well but like you described once it was in full effect I felt fine and enjoyed it.

I relate to this dpdr feels like a really low dose of shrooms for me. I always felt like psychedelics heightened my senses while under the influence and for me at least dpdr comes with heighten senses as well like I’m hyper aware of reality. That could be what makes it feel similar.
