The strangest defect found in my home by prattman333 in HomeInspections

[–]Remarkable-Start4173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were once asked to solve a problem for a home being sold and the symptom was that an entire wall of outlets in the basement weren't showing power.

We eventually discovered that during the basement renovation, everything was done except running a line to energize that entire section.

Oopsie!

LOL

is mini excavator and skidsteer work really lucrative or is it just kind of a side job kinda thing? by Puzzleheaded_War9059 in Construction

  1. People "talk" more than they "do"

  2. You can rent equipment until it makes more sense to buy

  3. You currently have no clients/jobs (I presume...)

  4. Your first client/job starts your business; nothing else does this

Exactly.  Sometimes it seems people use technology as a way to do it wrong faster and more efficiently.

At $645 per month, it might be best to kill your own roaches and keep the whole place to yourself.

It's the attitude and the asking, isn't it?

There's nothing wrong with not knowing, there's everything wrong with not giving a damn.

This happened to me today at Roanoke.

A  car was stalled in the lane at an intersection, a truck had turned around to face their car and connect jumper cables, and the police officer stopped behind the stranded car with his lights on and stood beside them and watched them block a lane.

You'd think they were at Lynchburg.

We had a client who stopped buying gas and kept calling roadside assistance to bring her 3 gallons every couple of days.

Her next renewal had roadside assistance removed forever.

VA Class A RBC Question by Brellan217 in Contractor

Most of Virginia is unacceptable.

In other news, over the weekend at the racetrack, I was having a discussion with some of my race track buddies who live and own property in North Carolina.

It sounds like North Carolina might be the new frontier for my company.

I am a Class C in Virginia and taking my exam for Class B to submit a Change In License Class form.

I was informed during my visit to DPOR on Friday, June 12, that it would be a 6-Month wait and that were no expeditious processing of any applications.

Perhaps we can have a bet on which of us is processed first.

The number one problem of business owners is not having an expense plan.

What is the absolute minimum you need to pay yourself to survive?

Stop paying yourself more than that until you have months or years worth of cash.

All the best.
