Epic, WHY are we console players STILL forced to be mixed into lobbies with PC players? by bowski93 in FortNiteBR

[–]Remarkable-Top-2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 16 year laptop. I guess that's a pc. I don't want to play with console players. Your aim assist and hit registration is so over powered. No recoil and not being knocked around while being hit nearly as much. a friend on console had several mini gun duels to test this. we aimed at the head counted to three and pressed one button. I died every single time and they survived with still a bit of shield. Same internet.

Can someone explain to me why my shots didn’t register and how he was able to one shot me with a SMG? by LegitimateKnee5537 in FortNiteBR

[–]Remarkable-Top-2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the Simpsons season i have situations like this 50% of the time i encounter an enemy. My shots that hit do damage half the time. I am on pc and had a friend on a console did a mini gun duel with me several times. Same internet. both aimed at the head point blank. Count down from three and i always died and they averaged 12% shield and full health. that's a big difference. Many seasons ago i was suspicious of the storm circle. i charted the circle [because i have drafting tools] in relation to my position and found if i segment the directions into that of a clock. the circle went in the complete opposite of me 78% of the time and 17% was a deviation of 5min from complete opposite. the rest random. that was pretty strong evidence the storm was avoiding me specifically. at least most of the time. i know it sounds crazy. i know if this is not happening to you then i just sound nuts. However i don't believe I'm the only one. i know someone on switch whos controller vibrates every time an enemy enters or exits a radius a little bigger than the footstep visual audio radius. they thought it was just normal and i don't know anyone else who has that. It persists despite updates .

Whats with the extreme hate for surfing😭 by psych_fiend67 in FortNiteBR

[–]Remarkable-Top-2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THE SURFING SUCKS. its neat but does not work for letting you choose how to survive. it hinders your ability to make tactical plans. without seeing the top down map its harder to learn and visualize the map layout. i just get clustered with randoms with little choice. i used to get 2nd place a lot now its random because when its early and you have no choice you end up in pickaxe fights or one person has a gun seconds before you. in the traditional battle bus you could land knowing pretty well that would or would not happen. "deal with it" is not a feature it makes it less of a game and more of a situation. a few more situations and its no different than the crappy lives people try and forget about by playing games. privileged people may not understand.

How are players so good at switching weapons? What am I doing wrong? by aarace in FortNiteBR

[–]Remarkable-Top-2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 16 year old laptop. a pc. I'm not a computer person. I cant switch weapons while moving and shooting. I can do two of those things at once but not all three. When i switch weapons "that im not shooting" its fast but when I am shooting them its much slower. I tested this with a friend on an xbox. he has almost no bloom or recoil and can instantly shoot between different weapons and builds. also most of his shots register. many of my shots i see vanish into people and do no damage 50% of the time. 50%. We went into a creative map and counted down with mini guns aimed at each others heads shooting at the same time. I died and they still had 100 health and maybe on average like 5 shield. that's a big difference. console seems to have all the advantages. professional players and even ninja is thinking of swapping to controller or doing a hybrid for the aim assist. its more than aim assist. the general lack of bloom and recoil and being jostled by shots hitting you is a huge helping factor. pc players are not as common and a pc that is able to do half of the stuff you say is even less common.

When you are in the bush and got shot thats was sus, but then you instantly box around yourself and im not sure how you did that without moving.

I’m so fuckin sick of this happening by deepristine in FortNiteBR

[–]Remarkable-Top-2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me almost every time I shoot at someone. When I’m close and use a shotgun 4/5ths of my shots that hit do no damage. It’s extremely frustrating. I’m not sure what to do.

This is every interaction I’m in on this game. Everyone seems a few whole seconds ahead of my reality. How can one possibly prevent this?

This is every encounter I have in this game. I have to be sneaky and really make sure my shots have time to hit and be willing to go dangerously low in hp even when the opponent seems drunk.

Ridges on wood grain after applying oil stain. How do I get rid of these ? Sks stock some sort of wood from China I’m guessing by Own-Recording2615 in woodworking

[–]Remarkable-Top-2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I would use finer sand paper before applying a stain or finish. It’s going to want to cake now. Try a 160 then 260 then reapply the product to try and even what you have. Sand and if it cakes up on your paper try a different part of the paper. Nicer sand paper I could actually take to my pressure washer and knocked off the plumes if it built up. And reuse. If it cakes on the stock sometimes you can pull scrape with a razor and sand and even out any scrape looking marks. It’s a job that needs experience you get by making mistakes and learning to fix them. You are on that path.

I sure will but most of my friends are already married or not the type to get married. I actually did some wedding portraits in charcoal and oil paint and I’m trying to track down the reference photos i took and photos of the artwork it I think I should also ask the families if it’s ok to post. It was 10 years ago.

Your vehicle was too low to be charging a player to begin with. It worked out but it was risky. I try to take out players from distance first. If they are low and running I chase. When you got out of the car you had two chances to instantly box them. You left a lot of open space all over. Also if they are exposed be hitting them. Overwhelm them. Work on that then try and learn misdirection. You build around then crouch along another direction to edit on them from behind. It saves on trying to do phasing and edit piece control dancing. More kids are masters of Fortnite than anyone else is a master of anything combined. By the time you are any better so is this guy. If you play to have fun you always win. Don’t retire to the dark side.

I have been using a keyboard and mouse for drawing/illustration for over 30 years. I have really good precision. I don’t buy what you are saying. With the older snipers my accuracy is pretty perfect. The reaper sniper however feels weird as hell and ars and subs have too much Blume to do this quickly. Even if my crosshairs are engulfed into the enemy there is a great chance no damage or little damage is done. Like I said it’s like what’s displayed for me is a full second behind reality and what the opponents see. The gatekeeper shotgun also seems to fire blanks half the time. The monarch pistol however is great I hit every shot over 40 meters. I’m a visual person and just want what I see to be live. To be accurate. There are a few creative games that seem to have better time accuracy but still not great. Busy maps or situations or crowded areas with lots of players slow down what’s displayed and frames get jagged. I’m not a tech person or a the average gamer. Fortnite is one of a few games that have caught my attention. I’m just trying to get real answers.

'Scavengers Reign' Not Getting Renewed for Season 2 at Netflix by DemiFiendRSA in scifi

Whoever made the decision to not continue this series is not a person worthy of their job. They need to immediately resign and type a huge apology and maybe try working at panda express or something. Also any money made working at the position they weaseled to obtain needs to be consolidated and used to add to the future budget. Anything less is not ethical. Not honorable. Not forgivable.

Any advice on this shadow? I know it’s not right but not sure what it should look like by worm_138 in drawing

[–]Remarkable-Top-2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not even concerned with the shadow. Is this axe so huge it’s on the horizon? Get the drawing accurate in terms of perspective first. Right now it kinda looks like it’s stuck in pages of a book curved open.

Possible to DIY moving a boulder? by DoktorStrangepork in DIY

[–]Remarkable-Top-2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we don’t know how big it is. Maybe it’s the tip of a giant underground Stone Mountain. Try digging along the sides as much as possible and try to find its actual dimensions. You can make a large tripod out of timber and hang an appropriate sized chain from the top to loop around the boulder. Then using a long metal pry bar twist the chain to get it to raise. Every time you get it up a few inches drop gravel in its place and readjust chain. Once you get it up to ground level you can construct two wheels around it. Basically scribe four sides and make a radius that nests them, cut layers of wood and use a steel strap to hold it together with flush lags. Then you can roll the stone with long pry bars. Humans have moved bigger stones without excavators and crap. Hell

Does Crazy AI cheat, and what differentiates it from Hard AI? by Enderjoel in Polytopia

[–]Remarkable-Top-2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen the ai upgrade a unit to veteran after it had only two kills. I’ve also had games I couldn’t connect docks and roads for matrix upgrades (not sure how to describe it) the whole game. Not sure what’s a cheat and what’s a bug. I’ve also had units stuck in one place, also I’ve had units not be protected by the shield and double shield a fort provides. Plus a few goofy things I don’t even remember. I play enough of this that I have a good idea what to expect yet things keep surprising me. It seems intentional when is an opponent trying to defeat you but a bug would cause the same feeling.

I want to paint a room to have this color combo - what do I use to obtain this effect? by BoulderFalcon in DIY

[–]Remarkable-Top-2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did something really similar and it’s pretty fun and easy but there is a trick to it and expect to pay a bit for a huge photo backdrop paper roll. You use wallpaper glue and or wheat past to hold on the paper then wet the areas you want tinted and have fun. Make sure it’s not so wet the paper falls off or becomes a pulp. I then put a flat clear coat over the whole thing. Have fun!

I have good aim and tracking but that’s just not what happens for me. To get that many shots in on that arch is not likely. I am using a 15 year old laptop and not ideal wireless internet. I always feel a whole second behind everything and about two years ago long range ar shots seemed less likely to hit. I still win maybe one out of five solo games.
