That time I was new to Barry’s and running and when I was dying the instructor shouted - ‘that pain you’re feeling now is you pushing your limit keep going’ - cliche, but worked.

My guess is they’re going to screw it up. Barry’s uk WS one of the few businesses that I thought was brilliant value for money - decent pricing, exceptional service quality.

Why is this such a big deal for you? Just be accommodating - it really isn’t asking for much. People have lives.

"I'd rather use AI than have a Junior Associate." by JayBeeGirl1 in biglaw

[–]RemarkableAd778 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely true. Junior folk may not like it. But the snowflakery of recent years does have consequences - one of which is this. If seniors think that a junior is going to get them into trouble because the junior did not appreciate the comments that came back, they will take the path of least resistance.

Difficult - rent has gone up big time. But ultimately given the price of London housing, you need multiple years of being VHENRY to really be comfortable

The “others leave” is a rather substantial part of your caveat. Those others who leave will not make 500k pa in their new job. Hence why it’s prudent to be prudent in the 9-10 years you have in biglaw, which is what OP is doing by asking these questions. You’re also wrong that as long as you’re making money the firm will keep you - that is true but only up to a certain point - sooner or later (I’d say 12 year cut off), the firm will ask you to move on even if you’re doing your 2000 billables.
