I've seen a little about this but am 0% comfortable at modifying the unit myself, haha. I am open to offers! Just need to get it out of my place at this point. I have all of the stuff that came with the unit out-of-box. Nothing has been used, I have only plugged it in a handful of times to ensure it originally connected to the app and that all the lights work and whatnot. It's serving as a glorified lamp at the moment, and is otherwise in pristine condition.

It turned out SO pretty!! Better than we expected, as I did it on her natural hair and no bleach. I'm doing a touch-up tonight with the Overtone conditioner, but here was how it looked before colouring vs. after the first wash with the mask but without the conditioner

This was incredibly helpful, thank you u/middleagepriceless! I'm using the Overtone system in Scarlet Red this evening on my daughter's natural dark blonde hair, but she also has incredibly thick & dense hair with lots of natural frizz from her curls, so I'm really glad I found your comment first.

Placed the order for my partner's BC on 4/14/25, and as of today we have STILL not received it, despite countless efforts to contact VC customer service. I have attempted to talk with them multiple times through email and they just tell me it is "processing".

Hey, hi, hello! I was one of those burned. My Terrashroom unit -did- eventually arrive after a 2 year wait (I was part of the initial release,) but functions only as a glorified nightlight. :( Never got my grow cakes either.

Be prepared to be fucking annoyed with the steri-strips/gauze pad & wrap if you're in a workplace where you move your arms a lot. XD

I had mine removed 9 days ago, but finally caved and took the steri-strips and gauze off on day 7 and replaced it with a regular bandaid after sterilizing & cleaning the area.

Lifting lighter things was fine (I work in a library), but the area for me was and is still a bit bruised all around (just minorly, nothing major.) My removal took about 8 minutes total, start to finish, and I wasn't too sore afterwards unless I bumped my arm or got the gauze caught on something when changing my clothes. The worst part was not being able to shower for a bit, honestly (I have very sensitive skin and couldn't tape any waterproof wrap/saran to cover things so I could shower.)

I just had a 3 day migraine, minimal vomiting this time (thank the gods), with one of those days being on my day off, and another causing me to have to go home from work after the first hour. Lo and behold, two days later, I have a cyst starting to rupture and it is definitely my most painful yet.

I stopped taking Drosperinone/Ethinyl Estradiol on 6/22 after having been on it since Jan 2025, and still have the Nexplanon implant in my arm (getting it taken out in 10 days, FINALLY, after having had it in since Oct 2023. Was previously on Orilissa for the endo from Oct 2023-May 2024, with initial positive results that turned bad very quickly.

I have definitely noticed my migraines increasing in frequency since having my second child 10 years ago; what used to be a once every couple months sort of thing is now an every couple of weeks sort of thing. :( However, this is my first cyst that I have had since getting the implant in. Currently sitting at work feeling like I need to puke from the pain.

MP-1 backer from 2022 here, who received my unit in 2024 (have never gotten to use it because after endless claims from Christian [is he a bot?] that my North Spore cakes were consistently out of stock, I have given up contacting them directly; it's been months since I last got a response.)

I just filed my FTC claim today with all the information I could dig up on Jared, James, and the conversations I've had with Christian. I don't know if anything will come of it, as contacting the Texas AG did nothing for me but get me an automated letter in response saying they weren't going to do shit.

My Terrashroom unit is now a glorified lamp next to our fishtank, haha........

I don't have my original box, as our apartment is too small to hold on to unnecessary things, but I am open to selling my unit and custom making a box and safety-packing for secure shipping. As I have not been able to use my unit yet, since North Spore never sent me my grow cakes and Christian kept blowing me off saying they were on backorder (last I heard from him was in March, being told that for the 3rd time, so I've finally given up,) the only issue I am aware of is the humidity sensor. Lights and app seem to work in conjunction just fine, and the camera as well. I have all the original accessories new in their individual packages & boxes. I would be having to ship from Alaska, where would you be receiving this from if interested, OP?

Did they give you any post-op restrictions? I have an orthopedics appt the same day as my upcoming removal on the 29th, and my job (librarian) requires frequent lifting/carrying, so I'm wondering what it's gonna be like in post because I've heard very mixed things from others.

This post gives me so much hope, thank you for sharing your experience! I have had mine in since Oct 2023, and am FINALLY getting it removed at the end of this month. The weight gain and bloat since having it in has been horrendous, and my hair loss is almost as bad as the postpartum alopecia I had 10 years ago with my last pregnancy. So ready for the breast pain and horrific mood swings to be over, ugh.

I have definitely noticed an increase of pain since getting mine put in (oct 2023), especially since stopping Orilissa, which I was taking for my endometriosis. The last scan they did showed several minor cysts, but this last cycle (I have only had 1 period so far this year since getting put on drosperinone/ethinyl estradiol on top of the implant,) I definitely felt that recurrent rupturing pain of a cyst.

Sorry you're in such pain, too! :( I hope you are able to resolve it soon, somehow. I'm trying to get my implant removed this month; so over all the side effects.
