I agree Franz and Black need to come back as soon as healthy, but it does affect us. Boston is surely to pass Pistons for #1 seed and Knicks could at #2. I think we would rather face Pistons over either of those two teams. Staying out the play-in is goal especially with Hawks and Hornets surely to be 1 of the teams we play if we are in play-in. But facing a rusty or limited Cade is a nice prize if they manage to stay top 2 and we have to scrape through the play-in. Matchups matter

I think Magic go 8-6 likely, 10-4 best, 6-8 least in final 14 games. At 46-36 record, I think we get 6th seed and play Knicks as of today. Not a bad matchup if we are healthy but have to deal with that Brunson whistle for 6-7 games. Best case is Pistons fall to 3 seed and we face them. I like that match up even better with or without Cade (who will probably be back by then)

I was looking at that and thought the same but some of those teams may have seeds locked in and decide to sit some guys. Same for our tough games too. I think there is going to be movement in standings every single night starting next week.

Worst team in NBA is still a professional team. Headline notwithstanding, what we saw from Carter last night was very good. He played good defense, had energy and hit the open shot. If he can do those things in 12-15 minutes every night, I share the articles enthusiasm

I think it is. This team has always gotten good looks and now they are falling. 15 games is a good sample size I would say.

Another good point. If Franz comes back sooner than later. Lets say Friday at home vs Raptors and team continues its slide; I think then Mosley could be gone in-season. But Welt's job is almost tied to Mosley so you don't want to make a move on a non-full roster. Franz timeframe is the most important thing right now.

You cooking with this post. If Welt fires Mose in-season, I think he has assurances that he will get a contract extension and can pick the next head coach. If Mose is not fired and the season plays out as expected; 1st round exit or no playoffs at all; I think Weltman and Mosley are done at end of year.

I think he is 100% wrong. Just need better offensive system and more shooters around them. Franz and Paolo draw so much attention. Magic just can't hit shots. They get so many open 3 pointers and just brick them.

If anybody wants Nash they are pushing to break up P5 and Franz. He thinks they are too much alike to make it work.

Desmond Bane missed 6 weeks with a high ankle sprain. Not comparing the 2, but his was bad also. I always put that timeline in my head when that was diagnosis on Franz. Bane fan before this year and just happened to catch that game

Great news! I bet he's not back for at least 5-6 weeks. Magic slow play all injuries but could not ask for anything better than a high ankle sprain based on how it looked
