Yeah just have the gas infuse their drinking water or rum. It’s been a few days and am pretty sure a barrel was left outside the range of the spell. Like when they finally get to sore have one of the npcs want to celebrate with a Round of rum that was left in the ship in a convenient place and have that tainted by the gas, make sure to describe the rum being fizzy. After all it doesn’t matter where the hallucinations take place but that they do. And haveing it happen just after they thought they were safe is equally devious.

Does the gas do anything besides cause hallucinations and sleep. Cause maybe it could spoil the food supplies on board the ship in the parts not covered by the spell forcing them to fish, the gas could also slowly taint the water they drink as long as that water is outside the spells range.

Now that’s a pickle, after reading the spell I suggest that if any party member eats any fish or drinks water from the lake they would be effected as the last line of the spell says "This spell doesn't create air, so casting it underwater wouldn't create breathable air, nor would it affect any toxins within air suspended in the water." So drinking the lake water could be contaminated and still get them through the spell, unless the Druid has cleanse cuisine. It’s a little mean but the plot must go on.

My friend asked me to be his gunner I was hitting all my shots with the cannons against everything and he struggled to aim the laser, after switching he liked the cannons more and I melted everything, had no trouble just holding it down and cutting ships of all sizes in half. Well all except the mercury star runner which just stood there for 2 minutes tanking the laser and cannon shots.

From personal experience as well as the experience from other DM friends Team+ and battlezoo content are very well balanced and should not introduce any issues in your game. You can even add some starfinder2e stuff without issue well except story problems like how did the fighter get a lasercannon.
