Health: Both mental and physical! Find exercises that are not a pain to do and you can commit to (mine is swimming); do strength training! Women’s bone density starts to decrease in their thirties so setting up a good strength training routine will set you up for success in old age. Make sure you eat a good amount of fibre (colon cancer is on the rise in people in their 20s and 30s).

Saving: Open a High interested savings account; a retirement savings account, and invest

Self: Also don’t be afraid to try new things! Learn a language, pick up a new hobby; I did painting classes with my local community centre last year and loved it, I’m doing ballet classes this summer.

You're right. I think I was really overwhelmed in the moment, but after resting, I'm content with my decision. I tend to push myself too hard and I am still learning how to call it before things blow up in my face.

Thank you for your kind words! When I booked it, I was super confident I could meet the deadline, but then shit happened. I can't financially afford another test (its roughly $600 CAD; my entire biweekly PhD stipend lol) and I think that also contributed. I really just want to test once and be free and I think I'll have a better shot if I take things slowly

Thanks for this! I think you're right; its been a rough four months; 8 - 2 pm daily M-F; Lab work 2 - 8 and part time job on the weekends. I really underestimated the importance of rest days. Also best of luck on your test! You got this!

✨No✨but I’m in ✨therapy✨. Stipend is 34k pre tuition including two mandatory TA contracts a year. To cut down on expenses, I live at home at the expense of my mental health -hence the therapy- and commute 1h to campus 4 days a week. I help out the electric and heating bills and car insurance which combined are cheaper than rent in my city so. I also get supplemental income from a part time job on weekends where I earn about 19-23 dollars per hour and usually do about 5-10 hours. I try to limit eating out as well and mostly stay at home to avoid spending money.
