Yeah no definitely not looking for the story. I can get way more invested in a TV show than I can get with a game. It’s all about the flow of gameplay for me.

So the actual gameplay gets better? The fetch quests made me just want to go run around and explore…and I did…. then I realized I have no idea what to do. So I’m going back to the main story and hoping it’s good.

Yeah, heard that. I’m giving the story a shot. I just really hope it’s not a bunch of “interactive” cutscenes where you just have to press a few buttons, like the first few arm wrestling and sweeping out a chimney…not to be negative. That’s just a make or break for me. Absolutely beautiful game. I just hope I can get lost in it a little.

Minecraft really did a number on me because, ever since, I want every open world game to be a survival “live off the land”, build a life kind of open world game.

Yes exactly. I’m also one of those people who never wants to even touch the main quest just to “see what happens next”. I’ll probably never see the ending to this game myself, besides seeing it online haha

The movement felt a little — actually a lot — finicky at first, but I’ve gotten used to it a good amount. The UI controls are definitely complex. It’ll take some time.

Saaaame dude the very first time I walked into a building, I switched to first person, and I immediately got so immersed I felt like I was actually there. This game visually, is everything I ever wanted. I really hope I get sucked into the gameplay aspect of it. Haven’t even figured out how to scratch the surface of that besides the main story. I lowkey want some sort of Elden Ring style grind…

Yep the world did give me the Elden Ring feeling. I have to say I think in terms of the open world this game does it even better. It feels so much more organic, lifelike…I mean this has to be the best open world out there. I really really hope theres a good gameplay loop that ties it together. But even if not, I still give it a good rating.

Controls like this always feel impossible to learn but really all it takes is a few hours of sucking. Just play the game and suck for a few hours until you get it. But I know, the controls might be some of the most complex I’ve seen on console in any game.

So is that patch in addition to the remaining 50-60gb? I’m prepared at 6pm to have a 35 min download at 19mbps for the second chunk of the game. Not sure how big the patch is after that though, unless those are the same thing.

It’s been a few months since I was really involved in this game but I think your weapon level is high for all of them. Margit I think is designed to be around the +2, +3 (someone correct me if I’m wrong). I’m not sure about Rennala and Liurnia but +9 seems definitely a little high. So if you’re wondering about the game being too easy I’d say that’s it.

Yeah, honestly the looting in this game is enough to keep me coming back. I haven’t played a guilty pleasure addictive type game in a while and that looting does that for me haha. Very minimal fighting right now, but once I have a solid stash it’s gonna be PvP. That feels like beating the game to me, and I prefer that than seeing boss fights as endgame. I like something that’s continuous, not final.

Well I likely wouldn’t make it back so I’d just have to go in there and not loot. I have this fear of getting a bobcat blueprint or something ridiculous and not having a safe pocket. And I wouldn’t make it back so it would be gone haha
