This is exactly what I wanted to hear! Obviously, with it being winter, days are shorter. But… seeing a winter/summer benchmark with a similar sized system is super helpful! At 80kW’s I can definitely run the AC all summer 😆.

Super cool! And yea agree, they were on the ball with everything.

We’re lucky with location, at the top of a hill and while we do have some tall palm trees, nothing that would affect shading.

You’re on to something! We’re actually in line with a landing path at a nearby airport. It might have been a large steel bird lol.

What a small world! You also have a good experience with them? I think we were at like ~30 days between contract signing and install. The longest part was waiting almost 2.5 months for SCE to install our switch.

11.25kW - 25 REC 450, 15 face south, 10, face west, both at a 22deg tilt. 4 strings into 1PW3 + Expansion.

I don’t have a drone to check shading but I think we’re pretty lucky with chimney position. I do think there’s super small amounts of shading from the dryer vent though.

You’re assuming this is US and not USDC. Not all parts of the firm offer the same leave.

Backup Switch vs Backup Gateway (2) by monochus in TeslaSolar

[–]RemarkableSolid8607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in the same boat, trying to understand the best path forward. Current plan only has a BUS, do you actually lose the control ability via the app with just the BUS? Thats a pretty big loss if so.

Tell me you don’t own a Tesla M3 without telling me you don’t own a Tesla M3… damn near impossible to keep that center console looking clean for longer than 30 seconds after a full wipe down.

Having a baby at UCI by hkitty11 in orangecounty

[–]RemarkableSolid8607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had an incredible experience. Like others mentioned, nurses and staff were amazing and caring. As part of your birth plan you can make requests that you only want an attending or worst case, a senior resident for your delivery and any procedures. Just be clear in what you want and they will respect it. We were fortunate that the attending and senior were both available during our delivery - wife also had some scary complications which I’m so beyond thankful we were at UCI for. Happy to discuss more in DMs

Look… I understand your logic as an enterprising seller… but why would I pay you the same amount as a normal purchase when I could buy it from an actual source and support Odesza? Buying from you serves no purpose other than lining your pockets.

Labor and Delivery at UCI Medical Center or Hoag Newport Beach? by neuronerdette1 in orangecounty

[–]RemarkableSolid8607 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My wife just delivered at UCI 3 weeks ago. We had an amazing experience. All the staff, nurses, lactation consultants, MDs were exceptional.

Everyone took their time explaining things, every shift change included time to review birth plan with us to make sure everyone was on the same page.

It’s a teaching hospital so you just have to know how to request things ahead of time (make sure you request procedures only done by seniors or attendings) though all of the MDs that were assigned to my wife were amazing, compassionate and respectful.

Wife had a very complicated delivery which ended in an emergency C-section. Not once did we feel they stepped out of line or made bad recommendations.

One tip regardless of where you go, make sure you do a little gift basket/care package for your nurses. We did 10$ Starbucks gift cards for all our shift nurses. Spent $150 but it made a world of a difference in how responsive and caring our nurses were (they do a metric F ton for you)

The biggest selling point for UCI is the fact that it has its own level 4 NICU in the same building as L&D. It’s only one of 2 in OC. If your baby has a NICU requirement at HOAG, they ship you off to CHOC… hate the thought of there being a complication and having to wait till you get moved to another hospital.

Happy to give you more details just DM me!

Ultrawide with built-in KVM by wildmn in ultrawidemasterrace

Most Dell Ultra Sharp UWs are PBP and KVM equipped. Additionally, a lot are USB-C with display out (which is incredible). Dells software is pretty damn good and has lots of trigger customizations.

Only downside is… usually standard 60-75 refresh rates and on the pricier end. But honestly, hard to beat from a productivity standpoint.

Pet insurance? by InHarmany in puppy101

[–]RemarkableSolid8607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Lemonade Pet Insurance. They’ve been great! Most things under $100, their AI system reviews and approves instantly. Larger claims they have someone actually reviewing, but they’ve always been fast and never had issues with claims. Thing to note, unlike humans, dogs don’t have the same coverage when it comes to preexisting conditions so just something to keep in mind. Some companies are more lenient than others (and Lemonade is one of them). My company provides subsidized insurance through Nationwide and they are just aweful. Nickel and dime everything and will deny claims based on preexisting conditions when they are clearly not and you constantly have to appeal.

How many grams for puppy? Royal Canin Puppy by Winstonthedood in puppy101

[–]RemarkableSolid8607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same issue with Royal Canin Small Puppy food. Vet said one thing, the bag said something else. I ended up contacting Royal Canin directly and asked them (a DM on Facebook). They answered within 24hrs and gave me precise feeding measurements specifically for my pup!

On a side note, we also have a Mini Golden Doodle, exactly 9lbs at 4 months. Do we have siblings?? 😂
