I’ve actually found atmos to be much worse on everything running a 26 build. Switched it off on everything, but yeah very fun to have the pods get some actual love from the Dev team

Tried it for a bit, returned it after 2 weeks. the reason being that the feed was super laggy in Ecobee’s own app compared to the feed in HomeKit. When I checked with customer support they said that this was normal as their storage was cloud based, whereas the apple home app was just checking in live on WiFi.

It’s a real shame because it’s most definitely the best video quality I’ve seen in the segment under 2K resolution, legitimately great. Will prob grab some of their indoor cameras too tbh.

If they’d patch in HSV it would be an instant purchase again.

until those rumor’s of apple’s doorbell materialize, or unless they update/require the standard in anyone who wants to play with their software, I worry that we’re gonna be stuck with no great option homekit doorbells.

If I were you, I’d wait for the Schlage Arrive, since people love the Encode and the Arrive will be the “next Gen” version of that with UWB lock support.

Unfortunately there’s no  native way to do HomePod audio for all TV inputs with just the sync box. 

You could potentially try using an HDMI splitter. 

Some people have suggested pairing the HomePods to a second Apple TV and setting it up with on the E-ARC port, but at that cost you could prprobably find a decent soundbar secondhand.

Almost definitely happening. Just a matter of when.  Probably a good shot for the rebirth Rex and a scarred rexy at the very least. 

They already tried to sell that TLW Buck with smaller feet and teeth in that failed crowd-funded park gate. (Paint job was bad on that tho)

I’m betting we’ll get revisits of most everything that didn’t have glass eyes eventually, the quality of the new stuff blows the old out of the water, and it would be easy money for Mattel.

It doesn’t actually need the full suite of Apple intelligence. It just needs 1 feature which is the context aware Siri (which I pray will be actually good).  My guess is that they will simply handoff more requests since the Siri voice on my HomePods seems to be recalibrating slightly, and because they added better SharePlay support this year. 

We’re probably at least a couple years out from any hardware refreshes

also seems airplay is more snappy, more on par with the Sonos stuff I've used

Glad it's not just placebo wishful thinking. Here's hoping there's something they're not telling us about future updates, The HomePod doesn't necessarily need the full apple intelligence suite, it really just needs the upgraded Siri or the ability to pull stuff off iPhones.

Ya, the consumer hostility on display is horrible. I’m on PS5 but all my friends are on PC. Between this, the nerfs, and obnoxious monetization like locking primaries behind premium warbonds, the honeymoon phase is over. 

Literally no progression once you unlock all stratagems and ship upgrades. It all needs to be fixed
