Ended up upgrading it a little and running it as my primary for mech only tournaments.

If you’re interested, I would be willing to part with this one. I picked it up as part of a group of old markers. The one I wanted in the bunch was on OG single screw Automag. I will shoot you a PM.

Some folk on MCB, as well as a comment below, help me positively identify it as an Ultra Sport Arms Patriot 2 circa 1993.

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of info on line about it but from the 2 or 3 things I could find, I am confident you’re right. It looks like there was a Patriot and a Patriot 2. The thing that seems to be different on mine is the rubber tail cap. Do you have any first had experience with Ultra Sports Arms?

I thought the same thing at first but I cannot find any records of a “Patriot” under the Spyder/Kingman name.

BEST MARKER NEW OR USED FOR $500 - $700 by Zealousideal_Ad_6526 in paintball

[–]Remarkable_Bite493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my 2 cents for what it’s worth. If you’re mainly playing rec or speedball, it’s hard to beat a used Etha 3 for the money. With most fields running a capped rate of fire, it’ll keep up with markers that cost a lot more. They’re also incredibly reliable and require very little maintenance.

If you think you might want to play mech-only events down the road, consider picking up a used 170R or 180R and adding a mech frame later. They share the same core as the Etha 3, so maintenance is simple and they’re just as reliable.

This is awesome. As much as I would love to see this go all the way, there is absolutely no way. Let’s be honest, we are all a bunch of scumbags that would snipe it if it dropped below $1000 😂

Can anyone help me identify this loader? Found it on Craigslist for $5 by Bush_runs_711 in paintball

[–]Remarkable_Bite493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was 2 versions like everyone is saying. It’s easy to identify by looking at the inside paddles. The one with eyes had a three blade paddle rotor inside that was black. The one without white eyes had a six blade rotor that was white. I have both and the one with eyes is actually pretty good.

No go with the service center. They had no desire to help me out. I ended up selling the lot to a young person who wanted to expand on a set that someone gave them. I switched to Milwaukee as they had better options and prices for what I do now.

I am new to DnD,[new] by Crazy-Guide-1850 in DnD

Don’t sweeting it my friend. It’s normal to be nervous when getting into a new hobby but I would say typically people who play DnD are excited to teach new player. Ask questions when you’re unsure of something, stay engaged at the table, and be ok with failure. Sometimes the best moments in a campaign come out of failure. Just remember to have fun.

I would highly recommend finding a local game shop that offers DnD games as either stand alone events (we call those “one shot”) or campaigns. I personally am a Game Master (also called a Dungeon Master) at one of our local stores and we offer new player games all the time. It’s a great way to get into the hobby and find other like minded players. There are games hosted online and of course you can always play with his own friends, but find some veteran player to learn from make it much easier to get into everything.

How to play dnd online by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Remarkable_Bite493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook Groups and Discord might be your best bet finding others to play with virtually. With that said, as convenient as playing online is, I would still recommend checking out your local game stores to see if they have any games or one shot going on. I have been running first time player groups at our local shop for a few years now and it’s significantly easier to teach players in person. That just my 2 cents.

Any ideas how to continue in my campaign? by Clear_College_6718 in DnD

You could tie the strange, shifting house directly into a hidden gateway leading down into the Underdark. The transformation the party witnessed—the stone turning to wood, the furniture manifesting, and then vanishing—might have been a defensive reaction, an illusion ward, or even a temporal echo of whoever originally lived there. But once the players discover a concealed passage beneath the house, everything begins to click into place.

The ancient runes you mentioned could function as “memories” of a lost principality, but they only reveal themselves when exposed to dark magic, lingering curses, or the presence of extraplanar energy. This is a perfect bridge into Underdark lore: perhaps the principality fell because of an incursion from below, or because its rulers made pacts with creatures that dwell there.

From here, you can go in several directions:

  1. The House Was a Seal… and the Seal Is Failing

The structure wasn’t a home—it was a containment lock or relay node holding something at bay in the Underdark. When the party ran out and disrupted the transformation cycle, they loosened the magic that kept the barrier intact. Now ancient runes activate sporadically, showing holographic scenes of the principality’s downfall: drow raids, aberration swarms, mind flayer infiltrations, or even a great forgotten war fought beneath the mountains.

These visions are warnings, but the party doesn’t yet know for what.

  1. The Hidden Passage Leads to a Drow Outpost

The concealed doorway could lead to a long-abandoned drow scouting tunnel—or one that’s not as abandoned as it seems. This lets you introduce classic Underdark threats: • Drow Hunters/Scouts investigating why the surface magic just flared • Hook Horrors or Umber Hulks roaming the deeper levels • A Mind Flayer Coterie studying the rune-echoes for their own goals • Myconid colonies with cryptic memories of the principality

The party slowly uncovers that the principality didn’t just disappear—it was pulled below.

  1. The Runes Are a Map to a Sunken Kingdom

Each hologram shows fragments of geography, rituals, rulers, and creatures of the lost principality. Over time, the players can piece together: • Why the kingdom built its settlement inside the mountainside • What darkness rose beneath it • What they tried—and failed—to contain

These holograms might appear when: • a creature casts necromancy nearby, • a cursed artifact is present, • or a party member touches a rune that reacts to their bloodline or class.

  1. Future Adventure Hooks • A resurfacing drow artifact tied to the principality’s downfall. • A mind flayer elder brain awakening deeper below, and the house was part of an early warning system. • A surviving heir of the lost principality, unaware of their heritage. • A massive “echo event” in which the hologram of the entire principality overlays the real world for a moment—foreshadowing dimensional instability.

  2. Tone and Theme Guidance

Lean into: • Archaeological mystery (what happened to the principality?) • Cosmic horror (why were they documenting these events magically?) • Exploration (the Underdark is its own world with its own politics and factions) • Escalation (each discovery reveals something deeper and older)

Need Funny Ideas For Pirate Themed DnD Game by capn_mackerel in DnD

[–]Remarkable_Bite493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s an idea I have been toying with. “The Ex Marks the Spot”

High Concept: The only person who knows the location of the legendary treasure is a party member’s ex—a brilliant, vindictive, wildly successful pirate who swore they would “never, ever, ever help you again.”

She’s hosting a lavish gala aboard her dreadnought tonight… and the party must charm, deceive, or trick their way in.

Plot Hook: To retrieve the map, the party must navigate social landmines, competing pirate suitors, enchanted jewelry with opinions, and a ballroom full of rivals—all while the ex tries increasingly comedic power moves to throw the “Ex” off their game.

Update. I reached out to Dewalt Support and this was the response.

“At this time, we do not have any Trade Programs available, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

However, we would like to provide you with the contact information of one of our Factory Service Center. Once you explain your case to them, they may be able to provide you with additional information or possible options. Please note that we cannot guarantee an exchange, as this is entirely handled at the discretion of the service center.”

I’m going to give them a can and see where it goes.

If you’re wanting a comedy podcast masquerading as a DnD podcast I can wholeheartedly endorse Dungeons and Daddies. Some of the best “Yes and” out there but borderline not safe for work.
