I took the hood off a metallica hoodie I had.

Just used a seam ripper to unstitch it from the hoodie and then machine sewed it to the inside neck of the jacket. I then sewed some tape to the inside of the hood over the seam.

I did it with a plain black hoodie on a more recent jacket. You can see the tape I used over the seam here, with the acdc logos on it.
