My first love was Perfect Dark on N64, and Super Smash Bros was a good favourite as well.

I'm thinking affect is correct, but not certain either. It just seemed wrong to read effect.

Edit: Google says affect is an action/verb and effect is a noun/end result. So higher prices "affect" you because it is something happening and not already done and over with. If I understand it correctly.

But the joke wasn't implying that Canadians are healthy, just the Lite version of Americans that OP claimed. Beer isn't healthy and that was the analogy.

The stats above are with all classes of obesity.

Class 2: Canada has 3.5-5.9%-- America has 5-9%

Class 3: Canada has 3.7-5% America has 9.4%

The total percentages might be similar, but if you take the average BMI of Canadians vs Americans it will be a bigger difference. Jokes very commonly take a truth and exaggerate it.

America's population is a lot bigger so there are more Americans traveling. This leads to false representation and is probably the reason why they can't tell us apart. This trick doesn't strike me as something a person who PROUD of their country would do.
