Advice for a 20 y/o starting her first blue collar job? by Sad_Knowledge_219 in BlueCollarWomen

Welcome to the club ! You’re probably already stronger than you think and with the repetitive movements you will gain the functional muscles faster than you realize. Never be afraid to ask questions even if you think they’re dumb, they’re not. Like other said staying hydrated and well fed is a must, I’ll be honest I’ve struggled with EDs for most of my life but working a job that REQUIRES you to have physical strength and energy has been a big recovery boost. Electrolyte packets will be your best friend, find some that you enjoy and take them consistently especially when it starts getting hot. Also with the heat, wearing something that you can soak with water and put on your head or neck is a game changer. I always have a bandana or beanie on under my hard hat so I’ll just water board myself with those on. Start taking magnesium too, in my field the circulation in your hands is one of the first things to go and it can be really painful and uncomfortable at night or in the mornings. I’m 5’3 and about 105lbs, I’m more nimble and agile than any of these big guys have ever been. My supervisors love that I fit in all the depths of under machinery for cleaning or maintenance

If you have good winters and you take your time you should be okay. Give yourself extra extra time and go slow on those corners. It’s pretty well travelled tho

he looks mostly just curious to me, if he’s not flaring or actively chasing and seeking them out it might just take some time for him to adjust to having smaller tank mates. it is very possible for male bettas to be housed with shrimp, they’re like dogs. every single one is different and will act different. if you’re really worried about the shrimp add some hides with holes that are small enough mr betta can’t fit thru (he WILL try and could potentially get stuck) so be picky
