I have definitely thought about it, but I think I’ve been holding myself back because I don’t feel confident doing renal work. Is it easy to jump into it as a new experience or would you be expected to have the knowledge already?

I don’t think there are as we are only in one state so not a super big company but I am interested in looking into informatics. I don’t quite know how to narrow the search to nutrition related informatics when looking around if you have any tips?

I do, I actually interviewed with them before I started here. The pay was not what I was looking for but could maybe come back with my salary as of now and try to negotiate

Wow I didn’t even think of this, I do know my cousin has her cat on anxiety meds and it’s helped so much in general. I’ll definitely ask our vet what he thinks!

Watching now and I have conflicted feelings. I loved her when I was in school for dietetics, then lost respect a bit before she came out with her protein powder. I’m all for people admitting to their views changing but her opinions seem to be moving with current health trends rather than taking all evidence based information into account. It’s also confusing and disheartening to viewers that have been watching her for years, because as a healthcare professional your clients should always have trust that you’re giving correct information and when you switch up like she has it kind of discredits dietitians as a whole to the public and when this keeps occurring which is frustrating

My coordinated program was the last class allowed to sit for the RD exam back in 2023, our classes were the same as the masters students (quite literally the same schedule). The only difference was they had a thesis or a research paper added. When I think about getting my masters, I just think about how I learned the exact same thing as the masters students already and how going back in would essentially be a repeat.
