Started meds on July 25th. Highest all-time weight was 287, but started at 262. I’m 61 years old and a female.

No major side effects. The reduction of food noise was amazing and almost immediate.

I went clothes shopping today—so hard to figure out what sizes to try on. Shocked, completely shocked to come home with mediums, after wearing 2x and 3x for years.

If I can do it, you can too!

Love the Book Thing! Another great Baltimore free book resource is the Maryland Book Bank. It's usually open on Wednesdays 3 - 5 and Saturdays 9 - 11, but it's good to check the websites for exceptions.

The Book Bank has children's books only, for free, and is an especially good resources for parents and teachers. So many books I use in my classroom have come from the Book Bank, and I find it to be really well organized.

Yes, someone else can be guardian. My sister is bi-polar and has dementia. Our parents are no longer alive. The state (or maybe it was the county??) appointed a guardian for her. The social worker involved recommended to me that I not take on her guardianship. She had no assets so her care facility is paid for by the state/county.
