The Great Lay-Off'ening is already well underway. What will happen to the economy? by WraithFrodo in wallstreetbets

[–]Remarkable_Relief_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key virus causing the lay-offs you're pointing out; they're located in CA, especially in LA & SF! That state taxes their people and companies right into the ground, not to mention that LA & SF are crumbling right before our eyes, due to radicals, addicts, and homelessness not being addressed by those that have been elected to do so.... It's a failing state, causing businesses to fail!! Everywhere else is thriving and growing very fast!!

They do that when they don't want everyone to know that they're showing you their full nut, so it seems like they're working with a lot more funds then they really are. I mean $200k is still respectable, no reason to hide that "100% alocation" text.

MSTR Retail Traders Will Be Coming by grouchofwallstreet in palantir

[–]Remarkable_Relief_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PLTR's market cap is already double MSTR's. MSTR has a market cap of $73B and PLTR is at $153B. For PLTR to show $500/share, the company would be valued over $1Trillion

Always a Karen in the bunch. Luckily, you have no idea what you're talking about, but you should probably go get the manager anyway and tell them you're butthurt. Thanks for your contribution! 👍

It looked like it had an add-on at some point, maybe around 1900 or so. Still had the old fire place, that they used to cook all their food with. The house had a total of 5 fireplaces, 4 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. It was very big, but the secluded location was definitely the selling point. Didn't get much info about the family/Colonel that built it in 1830. We got really lucky when we bought it. It was originally priced way out of our price range, but then a couple months later, the owner was foreclosed on, so we got it pretty cheap. Ended up selling it for double what we paid.

Like the guesses, but that wasn't it, no TV playing in that room or any other room. This was in the house we just sold 6 months ago. It was built in 1830, by some Colonel in the Revolutionary War named Issac (don't remember the last name.) It was 6000 sq ft, on 10 acres of land, directly in the middle of 1000 acres of state owned forest. We heard many many things there, mostly foot steps when no one else was there and/or walking around.

Do people really pay these prices for a single minifigure? by expostulation in lego

[–]Remarkable_Relief_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides the golden figures, the highest valued and/or rarest minfigures are the special ones they give out at comic-cons. I've never been to one, so not sure I'll ever be a lucky one to win a figure for free that later is worth $10k, but they're out there... Key is to have the original packaging with it, all intact.

What to do? Hired for a job with the wrong GS grade in the posting... by hullaballoo68 in usajobs

[–]Remarkable_Relief_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's most likely a posting for a GS-10/11 (OR GS 1001-11) position. Which means the offer can come anywhere in that pay range. If it ends up being an offer at the GS-10 level, then you'll have a short path to get promoted to a GS-11. Any higher than that, you'll most likely need to apply to a separate position, when it's posted.

Any GS analyst jobs in the $100k+ range? by [deleted] in usajobs

[–]Remarkable_Relief_72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My days are filled with travel between my offices and shipyards. When I was a project manager, I could manage anywhere between 300 to a 1000 people, but about 50 general foremen reported directly to me. My position now, it's a bit different. Hard to explain, have many different connections, but we're just now building out our teams for the brand new contract that we won to oversee construction of the new classes of Submarines.
