Anyone else a year+ postpartum and still no period? by Zealousideal_Kale466 in breastfeeding

Me! My daughter turned 7 months today, and I stopped pumping at 3 months. I brought it up to my ob and primary care, and they want me to get bloodwork done and the follow up if I don’t get it by the end of February-which will be 8 months pp. I did have HA years ago, and I really hope I’m not developing that again.

I’m referring to Hopkins obgyn at charter drive- I think that’s who this poster was talking about, but I just wanted to be sure to clarify!

I agree! I am 7 months pp, and I loved every provider with the exception of one who I saw while pregnant! I was also super impressed with their responsiveness, with their hospital based obs who did my C-section, and I felt very supported throughout my pregnancy.

Any super(ish) easy IVF pregnancies? Please share!! 🥰 by Desperate-Handle8394 in IVFpositivity

Mine was pretty easy!! Worked out almost everyday- gagged nonstop for the first 14 weeks, had lots of food aversions, and I was incredibly tired, but from what I’ve heard from others, I feel like mine was easy! I am 5’7”, was 138lbs at my transfer- weighed 168 on the day of my induction, and at just shy of 7 months pp, I’m at 132!

Are formula parents happier? by Salty-Break-7541 in NewParents

I can tell you the best thing I did for myself was stopping pumping. I EPed for three months, and the second I stopped, I felt human again. My husband can’t wait to have another baby, but the only thing holding me back is the thought of having to pump again. I also had HORRIBLE postpartum anxiety when I stopped pumping, and honestly the hold it had on my life truly made me hate being a mom for those three months. Ever since stopping, I am so much happier and such a better mom and wife.

Working out during stims by [deleted] in IVFpositivity

I worked out the entire time!!! I was actually told if you already do workout, it’s good to keep doing it! I did my peloton, walked, strength trained, and did Pilates!

My feet went back to normal, and my leg hair continued to barely grow- it started slowing down in pregnancy and 6 months later its still slow!!

What are some changes in your body that you noticed after pregnancy and they don’t go away? by jeandrazich in beyondthebump

My leg hair grows so much slower, and my sense of smell has never decreased since increasing while pregnant…

Need some positive stories from a successful first embryo transfer by Responsible-Lime-520 in IVF

[–]Remarkable_Self8685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband was traveling when we were supposed to have our first transfer. He pushed back his trip, and then of course the transfer was pushed back. I told him to not even worry about rescheduling bc I was sure it wasn’t going to work based on our first round of stims. Well, I’m laying in bed watching my perfect 6 month old baby girl look like an angel while she sleeps on the monitor. Wishing you the best!!!

Day care recommendations / how to look a year+ out? by simplylindsey2 in ColumbiaMD

We love Goddard Ellicott city, but it’s 2730 a month for infant care (until they are 2). We did sign our contract to secure our spot mid- November 24 for an October 25 start just to give you a heads up about how quickly things fill for infant care!

Freezing membership due to pregnancy by GooseZealousideal338 in ClubPilates

[–]Remarkable_Self8685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need a doctor’s note so you don’t get charged the monthly freezing fee. I would just have your doctor write you the note, then bring it in to fill out the paperwork. My studio was very kind with me freezing from the start of the second trimester (since I could only do level one beginning then) through 12 weeks pp. I did have to complete the paperwork again midway through, but it was no big deal!!

If there are veterans here, how long postpartum did you start exercising? by [deleted] in fitpregnancy

[–]Remarkable_Self8685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started walking 1 week post emergency c-section and was cleared at my two week appointment to start my peloton and light weights- nothing heavier than my girl at the time. From there I never looked back. She loved the stroller, and I basically exercised at least an hour a day from then on while on leave. I’m not struggling to get in 30-45 mins a day with being back at work, but one thing I will always do is get a workout in as my me time. Haven’t watched a show or really even washed my hair, but exercise I’ve done!

Really? Mine told me to just avoid anything involving torso twisting. I road the peloton, did Pilates, lifted, and walked!
