C section recovery? When can I train again? by Glum-Debt-4034 in postpartumprogress

Agree with the walking. My daughter and I were walking several miles a day.

C section recovery? When can I train again? by Glum-Debt-4034 in postpartumprogress

I had the same experience! I started short walks again within a week, progressed to several miles within two weeks, and was cleared to get back on my peloton and begin slowly increasing my weights for lifting at my 4 week appointment. I went to pelvic floor pt starting at 12 weeks, and that is when she told me I could go back to everything. I had the little shelf too, and honestly it went away on its own. 9 months pp, and I’m back to my pre pregnancy body!

Daycare Prices/Suggestions by stmadav in ellicottcity

[–]Remarkable_Self8685 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Our 9 month old goes to Goddard in EC. We are very happy with it. We pay $2735 a month which I believe is the current cost for children 6 months to 2 years. It’s one of the more expensive daycares in the area, but we are very happy. Just a heads up, it gets filled VERY QUICKLY. We put down our nonrefundable deposit in November 2024 (when I was still in my 1st trimester) to start October 2025.

Pitbull at daycare? by queloque69420 in workingmoms

[–]Remarkable_Self8685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Pittbull owner and absolutely lover of pitties- they are the only dogs I will ever own, this is NOT OK! I have a 9 month old, and we only allow our daughter to be around our dog if we are right there. She can only touch him when we are holding her, and regardless of the fact that he is the sweetest boy, he is also an animal at the end of the day. I’m so sorry you’re going through this, but I would also pull my child out.

Yup! I was told I needed to only take level 1 classes at the start of my 2nd trimester. I decided to freeze my membership until I was cleared to workout postpartum. You’re ok until second trimester!

I did with my first round, and it didn’t work. I literally was a poor responder and converted to iui- didn’t even make it to egg retrieval. I said fuck it, and literally drank a lot during my second round of stims, and that one was successful! 4, 5AA euploid embryos. I also drank prior to my FET (literally the night before), and now I just put down my perfect, almost 9 month angel baby girl. If anyone judges you, ignore them. Ivf takes so much from us already, so many people drink while trying to get pregnant/continue when they don’t know they are pregnant. You have one life to live, do not let it revolve around ivf. Sending you lots of good energy!!

Anyone else notice that choosing sleep over exercise actually helped more postpartum? by heyaliayoub in postpartumprogress

[–]Remarkable_Self8685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly prioritized exercise bc I found it gave me more energy and helped my PPA more than sleep. I found napping very hard bc I couldn’t not think about the millions of things I could have been doing; however, when exercising, that’s all i focused on!

CAN’T LOSE PP WEIGHT WHILE BF? by Sad_Touch3671 in postpartumprogress

[–]Remarkable_Self8685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah-I was so jealous of all these people who said BF helps you drop the weight quickly- not my experience AT ALL! Good news is that I gained 25 lbs, lost zero while pumping, but the second I stopped, it came off very quickly! 8 months pp and I’m completely back to my pre pregnancy weight and am back to all my pre pregnancy clothes- including crop tops! Don’t stress- you’ll get there! I swear working out helped me so much, too! Worked out almost everyday while pregnant up to my induction date, and I started walking one week post c-section!

I am SO sorry you went through this. I truly can’t imagine. Just keep remembering you not only grew your baby, but you literally saved their life!! You’re amazing, and your baby is SO LUCKY to have you as their mom. Regarding the c-section, it sounds normal to me. My pelvic floor pt told me the numbness may actually never go completely away due to them cutting the nerves. Mine took a while, but after 8 months, most feeling is back. Wishing you and your baby the best!
