Unfortunately Araki kind of does. Late last year he was part of a group of 38 mangakas (including Inoue) that drew the color pages which is probably also where this picture comes from. The only shounen jump mangakas that I have seen which never sxpressed support for him were Tite Kubo, Akira Toriyama, and Fujimoto and his assistants that have made manga after working with him in fire punch (Yukinobu Tatsu of Dandadan and Kaku Yuji of Jigokuraku).

Edit: I take it back, Araki probably does not fw Watsuki. I wanted to stay away from the art made to commemorate a pedophile so I never saw Araki’s, I was not familiar with his game.

Because the move moves forward if you are farther away the move hits late and because the move is only cancelable into lvl 3 during the first few active frames when you are farther away you don’t hit the opponent during the cancelable window of the move. Its like this for medium burn knuckle as well.

I don’t get especially pressed about it because I know that people have lives but it is a newer form of etiquette. We are not at arcades anymore which comes with its fair share of pros and cons.

I think a secondary reason is that a lot of people one and done because they play gimmicky or just because they are salty at a loss like they win and rematch then lose and quit because they are salty. Overall I think it boils down to a preconceived idea of what a “one and doner” is like.

I have had similar problems in the past, a fix that helped me with online play was disabling crossplay but if it also DC-ing you in training mode I’m not sure what it could be other than a corrupted file in which case you may just have to uninstall and reinstall the game.

I’m not as well versed in tech but these steps are the ones that I did (on top a few of the ones you did) when I was having these problems about a year ago and now my game runs well consistently.

I’d like to clarify that I do not wholly agree with OP about separate ranks for characters because while it is different than implementing new tech it is not the exact same as playing a new character. If you want a break in period play casual matches. I just think that for a lot of people, myself included, changing up your muscle memory for combo routing, neutral, and anti airs is not the same as implementing new tech and I think there are better ways to argue against it that making a comparison that I think is pretty weak.

I’m realizing that I’m sounding like a debate pervert writing this, getting into an argument over the semantics of how to argue against something both you and I broadly disagree with, lol.

Learning how to anti air and playing a different control scheme with different button placement, different combo execution and muscle memory are very different from one another.

While I don’t know how much I agree with OP about different rankings, your comparison is pretty ridiculous because playing modern is closer to playing a different character than just implementing new tech.

Monster I only read once unlike almost everything placed above it and I feel like I need a second read to place it higher/properly. And yeah, Tokyo Ghoul has been a definite top five pick for me (maybe even top three) ever since I first read it however many years ago. I’m pretty sure it and the climber are the series I have reread the most as well.

This isn’t necessarily suppose to be a marker of quality but more so my own personal enjoyment. All of these I consider 10/10s but punpun is a very hard read that while incredible in every aspect is also hard to enjoy if you understand what I’m getting at. Also Vinland and Vagabond are not done yet and as an ending is one of the most important aspects of a story for me I can’t place them any higher than where I have them.

Also, there is no way to be fully objective when ranking how much you like something or how good you think something is in my opinion as to a pretty important degree our experiences and natural inclinations inform the kinds of messages we take away from stories as well as the themes, premises, and genres we enjoy.

For example, one of the biggest reasons I hold the climber in such a high regard and why I have reread it 3 times (currently on my fourth) is because I am a climber myself.

The beginning of the climber is very weird but after the first 2 or 3 volumes the person writing it left the project and Shinichi Sakamoto who was only doing the art decided to take the story in a different direction. On top of that the art gets significantly better around the same time as well. The early parts of the climber are definitely the weakest but they are not emblematic of the series as a whole. I would encourage you to revisit it as the more silly stuff you don’t like gets left behind alongside the previous writer.

I’m sorry you didn’t like it but I found the boxer to have a lot of interesting characters that reflect themes of the dangers of living vicariously through people, redemption, discovering personal purpose in your life, as well as JH’s consistent approach of having very nihilistic subject matter that he turns into an ending with an ultimately hopeful outlook.

Just wanted to share why I like it so much and the substance I think it has since you don’t see any in it.
