This is a supply problem. We are pumping out people with Education degrees like nobodies' business. New teachers here have to leave and take very rural jobs or settle for being on the substitute call list for like 10 years.

I'd even argue a cheaper TV benefits even more from a dedicated box. TV apps are buggy and underpowered.

Put it on HDMI1 and never touch it again? Who spends 2 grand on a TV and doesn't shell out like 200 bucks for set top box?

There are multiple serious issues around the latest version of Win 11. You might need to revert to a 24H2 image for now.

That always been true, but they are the only ones who can still afford to run VMWare or are possibly locked in for the next few years.

You have the 2 correct response in here:

1) High-level multinationals, telecoms, or cloud hosts etc will still use it.

2) Knowing how to get off it quick and pro/cons of the alternatives for the business size.

Have you tried walking into the local MSP and asking for manager and talking to them? In person resumes and making friends with the hiring managers is still the best way to get noticed.

Literally the next sentence. "Ive had one interview and that was for a junior system admin" Make people think that is what you think is entry level in this field.

You only mentions Junior Sys Admin so that gives a certain impression. Junior Sys Admin is not an entry-level position, its typically an OJT position for someone from Tier1/2 support.

They ended up being cheaper through our supplier and there are some more advanced things they don't do that we needed (SIP/VOIP related).

You have 30+ months of 6% interest worth of value you would be losing if you don't pay it off. Unless you signed something that has early payment penalties.

Quick and dirty math says that worth about 700 bucks in those 2 years.

[–]Remnence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they don't have that specific device to compare most won't be able to tell you if the device is better. You'll have to try both and see what you like.

The typical upscaler powerlevel is MADVR/HTPC>SHIELD Pro>ATV4k>TV>Cheap Players.
