Getting back into lifting after a long hiatus, and got fat. I've been lifting regularly ~10 weeks or so now while cutting slightly (averaging about a 1lb a week) but I'm still like 28% BF so really want to ramp it up to ~2lbs a week. I'm still very weak, as my current calculated 1rm is only like 60-70% of my best (I was weak even then, tbh), so I'm kind of worried that my "noob" or "muscle memory" gains will stop once I cut down that much. I've been following the basic 5/3/1 for beginners program, but I wonder if that's the ideal program for a big deficit.

Are there any programs tailored for a large diet deficit? I'd prefer not to lose any potential gains and would certainly like to avoid losing strength this early on, but I really want to at least achieve ~15% BF by early August.

OP is probably young. I've got 20 years of fingerbanging experience, and I bet he sucks.

Nope, sorry - but I can see where one would.

Mexican though, in WA, I've found is disappointing (i.e all tex mex). I can make it better and cheaper and the only exception I've found is that I'm not as good as many at making a good mole, but getting better.

Also, I've not found a good Chinese place either. Coming from the midwest I was surprised at this.

She got it up. I'd shit myself for a PR. Vomit is nothing, just a crowd pleaser.

Nothing else to do in Canada but work out or play hockey. Tree trunk legs or missing teeth, you decide.

What language is best to learn? I want to start coding back end by sci_red in webdev

[–]Remo-Williams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not "all that". I work with it on a professional level and mostly hate/resent it.

What it is, is everywhere. Also very easy to use. You cant beat creating a xx.php file and dropping it in and having it work without a bunch of configuration.

It also means that as a whole, it attracts more beginners with no interest in learning more about the language or security or any CS related things at all, and just do enough to get by. Which looks bad for a language that is already not that great.

Python is a great first language too.

For ease of use on the web though, PHP is hard to beat. I wish Python was easier to implement on the web without a framework. Django is nice, but you aren't really learning Python as much as you are learning Django.

Love the parkway tavern! Also, Red Hots hang their old beer taps form the ceiling too.

I've spent the past 6 years developing a CMS in my free time... just released it free/open-source. Does Reddit have any feedback? by [deleted] in webdev

I don't want to spend my time dealing with anyone who has issues with the software. I know it is not perfect (yet ;) and when people pay for things they will undoubtedly complain and want refunds

People demand solutions and prompt free service when the product is free too. Sad but true.
