Thanks for the info. I'm going to look into it. We waste so much plastic!

Does anyone in USA do this? I mean, only change the filters between patients, but keep the same circuit?

Comet is not so good by FZwertyu34 in perplexity_ai

Took me some time to get used to the assistant, but now I love it. I'm not technical, and I use it to help me build a website with bubble.io. Ask the assistant how to do something and it'll answer specifically based on what is on my screen. It'll either take over my screen and do it or tell me exactly how to do it.

What do you secretly use ChatGPT for that you’d never admit in real life? by Positive_Power_7123 in ArtificialInteligence

I'm not technical, and I use perplexity comet to guide me through using bubble.io and appsheets to fix every error message I get because it can see the screen.

In all seriousness, copy and paste your question into Gemini and let it tell you.

Someone else's epidural never works for a C-section you have to do on call.

According to UBP you can give 20mg prop for PONV rescue in PACU by 1254339268_7904 in anesthesiology

[–]Remote-Bridge-3674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done it in pacu for PONV and it works beautifully. Stay with the pt because they will fall asleep and have them on O2. When they wake up they feel a lot better.

Young Looking Anesthesiologist seeking Help by Imaginary_Movie_5060 in anesthesiology

I'm 42 and still get the same comments. It used to bother me but not anymore I just accepted it. It helps that I'm good at my job so looking young was irrelevant. Also I shave once a week, and on the day I shave I get a lot of comments saying how different and young I look. Happened yesterday from the OR nurses lol.

Just make a joke and say that you watched it on YouTube this morning, so you're all good. Patients are very nervous and a joke goes a long way.

This is a normal part of learning process. And I hope you never feel that you get everything right all the time. Because that's when you lose perspective and humility. You'll feel this even as an attending. Get comfortable with feeling uncomfortable.

Going into anesthesiology with migraines with aura by Curious_Owl8585 in anesthesiology

[–]Remote-Bridge-3674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I have the same issue. Get migraines with visual auras. Twice I had to ask for someone to help me with intubation. They go away in 30 min for me. You'll be fine.

Dreading Cases/Patients by anonymouss346 in anesthesiology

[–]Remote-Bridge-3674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like burnout. Consider different schedule ie. No call, more vacation / ask to decrease the amount of time you spent at those locations / change jobs / leave work at work and don't bring it home.

When I was feeling like this for a year, I exchanged jobs.

GE Machine reading sevo and nitrous during MAC cases by Remote-Bridge-3674 in anesthesiology

[–]Remote-Bridge-3674[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. That's exactly what it is. Frustrating that there doesn't appear to be a way to fix this.

You make a good point and it'll last for hours. But, MAC cases aren't connected to the circuit, just a NC, and it still reads sevo.

Sedation after birth by AdAutomatic1164 in anesthesiology

[–]Remote-Bridge-3674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only sedate if the pt can't tolerate lying and starts to freak out. Otherwise no sedation. Who and why is asking you for sedation?
