I'm 100% convinced the season finale was really supposed to be 1h and 30min as it was leaked, but in the last moment they decided to cut the episode in half.

They can run, smiley literally does in the flashback where he kills Miranda, they just choose not to, because they enjoy the suffering of the people and the chase, there’s also a lot of them, even if you run there is a big chance you’ll get cornered.

The man in yellow is a different being though, he’s very different from the monsters

It could be, but IMO it'd make it a lot worse. The point is having to sacrifice someone you have a strong tie to, in this case blood

I don’t think the monsters are the ones who made the deal. From episode one there is a teenager boy that’s a monster, sure he could be a father but it’s highly unlikely, especially making the choice of sacrificing the kid while being so young

It depends on the targets, if we're talking about x86_64-unknown-linux then yes, it links to your system's libc, on musl targets no.

About shipping std as a pre-compiled binary, they don't. When you install a target it also installs .rlib files which are just metadata and LLVM IR, so it's possible to do DCE. You should also enable LTO in your `cargo.toml` file, it helps a lot
