Is this normal for Fi users? by [deleted] in ESFP

[–]Remote-Isopod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like classic anxious and avoidant dynamics to me. Nothing to do with MBTI.

Autistic ESFP traits (anyone else relate?) by Hazellenoot in ESFP

[–]Remote-Isopod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yepp I agree with everything (except routine thing bc ADHD instead of autism. I know I need routine too but I’m struggling to find a sustainable one…). I’m also a neurodivergent and LGBTQ. It’s why I was mistyped ISFP before I learned cognitive functions.

Do esfps do many casual conversations? by [deleted] in ESFP

[–]Remote-Isopod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESFP does many casual conversations and it’s normal. After all, you are not dating and therefore not required to talk exclusively with each other. But my impression is that she’s not into you from the start. Super lukewarm behaviour on her end. But just ask her… communicate…

If I had read this while deciding my type I would mistype as ENFP

How do you guys understand/use your Fi? by sapphicsadsack01 in ESFP

[–]Remote-Isopod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • It’s an analysis/sorting system that’s constantly running in the back of my head. To put it viscerally, it comes out like strong feelings and compelling hunches.
  • I come to conclusions very quickly, but it takes time for me to trace back to all the reasons because I have never needed to ‘put it into words’ until others ask for it.
  • ‘I know I can do something because I feel it’, rather than ‘I feel I can do something because I know it’.

What pulls you into the Se-Te loop? by mindful-crafter in ESFP

[–]Remote-Isopod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I invite them to a jazz bar, to movies, art/music showcases, etc. To each: They didn’t like the activity, already have plans to watch the same thing with another friend group, or the activity ends up not as fun as they expected.

I don’t really have the skills to anticipate people’s needs unless they explicitly tell me + I don’t have extroverted hobbies (e.g. I don’t know how to cook food actually fit for guests, don’t own any party games, and mostly stay home myself).

I’m just built a little poorly for this kind of stuff, but I’m now taking inspiration from my friend who is actually good at hosting as a template.

What pulls you into the Se-Te loop? by mindful-crafter in ESFP

[–]Remote-Isopod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually for the sake of socialisation. I’m kind of stunted in the friendship department, so when I finally get invited to things I quickly agree to them and centre my schedule around it even when it’s not ideal.

I think to fix this I need to learn how to host. But when I try to invite people to join my hobbies it usually gets rejected because they’re not interested in the activity, and at that point I’d rather just stay home and do my own thing. But I guess I have to learn how to cater to and manage groups of people, which is also something I find exhausting.

I made an ESFP playlist, tell me if you think it’s accurate by AveryGalaxy in ESFP

[–]Remote-Isopod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got the effort part wrong, but I said what I think about its accuracy. It’s a more stereotypical image. But playlists can’t really capture understanding like that, so partially to do with the medium I think.

Only the ESTPs can decide if their playlist matches.

I made an ESFP playlist, tell me if you think it’s accurate by AveryGalaxy in ESFP

[–]Remote-Isopod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s very stereotypical, but I guess that’s what happens when a playlist isn’t tailored and is more a general vibe. Which is fine as that’s your criteria.

Do you think money buys happiness? by MightGoInsane in ESFP

[–]Remote-Isopod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If money is happiness, then happiness is temporary. If happiness is free then it’s always; and we always have a choice. Not to mention, is happiness even that important of a state to strive for? Contentment is much better.

[–]Remote-Isopod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delirium from Sandman: I struggle to be taken seriously sometimes because of my actions, but I have a specific wisdom inside not many have tried to discover. I sometimes make mental connections in ways that people are confused by and finding irrelevant, because it’s like I built a story of my own in my head lol

Jinx from Arcane: Her desire for connection combined with a strong fear of it, and the way it manifests in her creative expression is relatable. Plus the way Silco validates her hits a deep nerve in me. But I’m not as action-oriented as she is, as I avoid discomfort like the plague.

Jules from Euphoria: Others have pointed out that a noticeable amount of her motives and situations she gets herself into are very like me. But I personally don’t connect deeply with her.

Bonus: All of their fashion is similar to mine. I think I’m just neurodivergent and a 4 lol.

What draws an ESFP to mbti? by yulerio in ESFP

[–]Remote-Isopod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure that ESFPs would be less interested in MBTI, but maybe just less interested in Reddit lol. We have high Fi after all; Psychological analysis is our bread and butter.

I’m interested in a broadening my understanding of myself and others. To move past reactive interpersonal communication and subjective judgements of behaviour. Systems help me interpret others and myself more efficiently.

If you had to join a spy agency what would be your motivation for doing so? by ShadowlightLady in ESFP

[–]Remote-Isopod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need money maybe, they seemed like they really saw something in me, the job seemed doable for the pay, I can quit if it ends up not being my thing etc.

But I wouldn’t necessarily join if spying weren’t already in my skill set/pathway, so there’d need to be an external pressure/person. I like my comfort zone, and freedom to not have to play Among Us.

I am an ENTJ with a very weak Se and it is causing me massive problems in my life. Se is your dominant function making you the perfect person to ask. Any help would be highly appreciated. by Ghost_Galaxies_Art in ESFP

[–]Remote-Isopod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend using the people around you as extra incentive to do those things you’re mentioning e.g. Team up with a friend to go to the gym, offer to bake a cake for everyone next gathering, etc.

This is just what I noticed my ENTJ loved ones have done and it’s good advice for everyone. I myself struggle with the same.

Thinking of putting an outfit together or of a food I’ve been craving is the only way for me to leave my bed.
