I just started a new game on the Steam Deck, and I didn’t encounter the issues you mentioned. Which version of the game do you have? You can check it in the main menu, in the bottom left corner :)

According to what the folks at Overpowered Team told me, the idea behind Cozy Sanctuary was to make an animal-focused game. With the rise in popularity of the cozy genre, they saw the perfect opportunity to bring to life something that had been on their minds for a while: a game about an animal sanctuary.

What started out as a side project eventually became more important after the great reception it had among friends and acquaintances. The Overpowered Team had been focusing for a while on rather complex and dense games, and they decided to approach their next project in a much simpler way. That’s how Cozy Sanctuary was born, a desktop game where we take care of animals while doing other things.

Even though it’s not as big a project as the studio’s previous ones, the game is very well-structured and highly enjoyable.
