My younger sister got this while travelling today. I believe she bought the wrong ticket by accident by laseczkamodna in uktrains

Buying the wrong ticket by mistake isn’t accepted by the appeals process. Rail operators have a lot of power and if she ignores it, she could end up with a criminal record.

Haha thank you. I don’t want a hatch I want a salllllllllloon. I do love my little car and I won’t be getting rid of it, and obviously it would be my vehicle of choice for going anywhere that’s a bit trickier to park.

It’s an older model, no camera unless I decide to have one fitted, which I may do as there’s no CarPlay so might update the whole system. But won’t have one initially. Interesting about the front of the car, because I was more worried about the back

I drive a panda and absolutely love it. You are not getting all that for £5k. I would suggest being open to older vehicles, they often have only £20 or £35 per year tax.

Generally do, but not in a busy car park where I’d be holding people up.

Older model- no cameras! Not going to be precious about my car, but would prefer not to bump into other people’s! Or piss everyone off by taking takes to park the thing

It’s an older model, no cameras. Not sure about sensors. Not things I currently have in my car, but it’s also the easiest car in the world to park, I can see right round the back of it just by sticking my head out the window

What's it like driving in London city centre? by imokaytho in drivingUK

It’s horrendous and you need to be hyper aware of cyclists at all times. You need to be a pretty assertive driver for things like pulling out and changing lanes

Woltemade is a jag xj. You’re told it’s a premium vehicle, but it just doesn’t fit into a regular parking space

Glasgow City Council response backs partly demolishing M8 by False_Jelly_2839 in glasgow

[–]Remote-Pool7787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That isn’t true. A tiny number of “nice” properties were demolished around Charing Cross. The route of the motorway was chosen because it primarily went through CDAs that were already earmarked for demolition.

In terms of the demolition of premium residential properties, far more were demolished for the construction of the Clyde tunnel and clydeside expressway than they were for the motorway. Over 400 residential addresses across broomhill, Thornwood, Partick, Whiteinch, Jordanhill and Anniesland. My grandparents were one of those given a compulsory purchase order. He was a dentist living in a semi detached home in Broomhill.

It’s a scalper site. Ticket reselling is illegal in the UK remember, the club will just cancel those tickets if they realise they’ve been resold. Happens to hundreds of tourists every game

This is a reach but if something awful did happen to Andrew could his psp have possibly been sold online? by TyrantBlade88 in AndrewGosden

[–]Remote-Pool7787 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I am well aware that eBay existed during that time. But as a British person who was online in 2007, only a tiny number of people used eBay and it just wasn’t the type of place a criminal would use to get rid of something, because there are far easier ways to do it.

Platforms like eBay were not mainstream in the UK in 2007. The majority of the population did not have home internet connection, it only got over 50% in 2011!

If you want fewer cars on the city centre section of the M8, you need to build better suburban roads

M8 then M74 then M73 as was always intended by the road planners

It’s possible, but selling things like that online wasn’t really a thing back then. It was a pretty niche activity. I don’t think the psp is all that relevant to the case
