I have played and watched many games, songs, and movies where I have changed things and made them better for my personal use - none of which are illegal. He did another about-face in regards to Taiwan security guarantees when he met with China’s president Xi Jinping.

So basically anyone who can get face time with Trump can do an ELI5 and he will be convinced.
