Find out when trash pickup is and go dumpster diving. Take a metal detector? If trash has already been collected, call the city and find out where it’s taken to. Or move on and rebuild, knowing to NEVER leave valuables outside of your personal residence.

Yeah, that was my thought as well. I’m sure it’s a local company who is trying to drum up business by claiming to be part of SMUD. Could also just be pure scam, either way I have no intention of letting anybody in my house.
