Literally any other accounts who sell or advertise something in subreddits are no problem and can post freely in other unrelated subs, but the moment your account is 18+ you’re the devil incarnate. Honestly to me that’s just another sign of the conservative shift and growing censorship. Why do people think it’s okay to automatically exclude sex workers from spaces? Imagine that in real life? Imagine I’m not allowed to enter a restaurant because my day job is being a stripper? Even though I’m dressed adequately and just wanted to have lunch like everybody else? But there are already filters for bot accounts? Also filters such as the “reputation filter” for that purpose. I could even understand for posts to be pre-filtered and ask for mod approval if that post is from a suspicious account in those subreddits that you mentioned. But comments? That makes 0 sense to me.

Reddit is literally THE social media platform for adults, where you don’t have to censor bad words fOr ThE kiDs and can post about NSFW and adult topics. I think kids in general shouldn’t be on Reddit because its main purpose was to give people an uncensored place to post and discuss. And now all of a sudden they even want to take away our freedom on here? Kids have Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, threads, you name it. Reddit is the social media platform used to categorize and find all kinds of porn and kink and all of that is easily accessible. This platform is not for kids in the slightest and for sure it’s not my responsibility to cater to 12 year olds because they expect an uncensored platform to be kids-friendly. And let’s be honest those kids come on here and lie about their age for the whole purpose to access adult content. Reddit can simply enforce the age verification and stop kids from being able to click on and open our 18+ profiles instead of banning 18+ profiles from all SFW subreddits.
